The day before filming comnced, the crew held a simple pre-shoot ceremony as usual.
Director Sun’s films have always been extrely secretive, usually releasing production stills or clips for promotion only in the late stages of filming or during editing. This ti was no exception; the ceremony was attended only by the director, the main cast, and the relevant crew, with no dia invited.
For this film, Director Sun managed to secure three investors. One of them was present, known as Boss Qi, but Ji Rui, one of the investors, did not attend the ceremony, nor did the other mysterious investor.
The Ji Family entrusted their two handso sons, Da Bao and Little Treasure, with escorting the female lead, Nuonuo, to the ceremony. Director Sun was also amiable towards Si Han. After the crew arranged the roast pig and fruits, he gestured with a smile, indicating she should join, "Si Han, co and light so incense together."
The question of whether Nuonuo should change her stage na was discussed by the Ji Family, and they unanimously agreed that continuing with the na Si Han was perfectly fine.

After the ceremony, Tian Fang left with Si Han and her two siblings in the sa vehicle.

The film was to be shot in two parts, with the first part fild in rented studios on the outskirts of R City and the second part shot on location; each phase was expected to take over a month.
The studio was about an hour’s drive from the Ji Family estate. Initially, Tian Fang planned to pick up Si Han daily from the Ji Family and return her every evening.
However, the Ji Family insisted on having a driver transport them to the studio. Later, Tian Fang learned from Si Han that this driver was not rely a driver but also served as a bodyguard, responsible for the safety and transportation of Si Han and her brother since childhood.
The beginning scenes of the film depicted so campus life involving the female lead. For Si Han, who had no acting experience, these were relatively easy segnts.
Nevertheless, neither Director Sun nor Tian Fang dared to have high expectations for Si Han. Despite months of observation validating Si Han’s innate acting talent, it would be her first ti performing in front of strangers and a cara, facing her acting partner. Thus, Director Sun had ntally prepared for nurous retakes, even considering the potential need for a stand-in.
The first scene involved the female lead during her school days, having her initial encounter with the male lead, her ntor, in an alley beside the school.
In the film, the female lead is skilled and highly principled. On her first day of school, while buying a lunch box outside the campus, she witnesses a thief snatching a wallet. Her overwhelming sense of justice compels her to toss her lunch box aside and leap towards the thief. Simultaneously, the male lead, purchasing bread nearby, sees her rushing in disregard of her own safety and charges towards the thief. However, by the ti he reaches them, the female lead has already grabbed the thief’s arm and flipped him over with a deft shoulder throw, rendering him flat on his back!
Unexpectedly, the scene ant for countless retakes passed in a single take!
Both Director Sun and Fang Kai were utterly astounded by Si Han’s swift and precise movents!
