The next day, Da Bao was awakened by a phone call early in the morning. Nuonuo, who was still nestled in bed and reluctant to open her eyes, vaguely heard Da Bao call out "Uncle."
When she finally awoke, she heard the faint sounds of conversation outside the bedroom. She thought Da Bao was on the phone, got up, washed up, changed clothes, and opened the door.
"Nuonuo, congratulations!"
Before Nuonuo could react, she was gently hugged by Yang Sheng.
"Uncle, why are you here?"
"Well, you are quite the celebrity now, wherever you go there’s a bunch of reporters following you. So, for safety’s sake, we’re taking a private plane back!" Yang Sheng said effortlessly, while Nuonuo transitioned from his arms to Aunt Chu Ran’s embrace.
"Uncle..." Nuonuo didn’t want to trouble Yang Sheng too much, so she glanced at Da Bao, hinting for him to help talk.
Yang Sheng interrupted her, saying, "Your parents asked and your aunt to co and discuss your wedding arrangents. Your aunt didn’t want to fly on a comrcial plane."
Nuonuo swallowed her words.
Uncle dotes on Aunt just like Dad dotes on Mom. She figured she’d just be conveniently hitching a ride with them.
"Alright then, thank you, Uncle and Aunt!"
Chu Ran rubbed her head, "Silly Nuonuo, why be so formal? By the way, how far along are you with the baby, and when’s the due date?"
Nuonuo and Da Bao looked at each other. Clearly, this question had indeed stumped the soon-to-be parents.
"We haven’t gone to the hospital for a check-up yet, so I’m not sure about the precise due date." Fortunately, Da Bao had so general knowledge about babies from childhood thanks to Nuonuo and Little Treasure.
"I see. Let’s have breakfast first, and rember to call your mom later to book an appointnt with an obstetrician; it’s best to give Nuonuo a thorough check-up once you return."
With two kids, Chu Ran naturally knew much more about these details than young Nuonuo and Da Bao.
Yang Sheng chuckled from the side, "Your mom must be over the moon, forgetting even the basics."
"Uncle, Aunt, Nuonuo, you have breakfast first, and I’ll chat with Mom."
Nuonuo finally noticed the coffee table laden with various steaming breakfast dishes.
Chu Ran pulled Nuonuo down to sit, and the three began their breakfast while Da Bao dialed Mom to relay Aunt’s words.
"Yes, I’ve already made a doctor’s appointnt this morning. When you return, we’ll look at Nuonuo’s condition and decide when to go for an examination."
Other than feeling sleepy, Nuonuo felt no discomfort. While sitting on the Yang Family’s private plane, the other three chatted endlessly, but she snuggled up in Da Bao’s arms, sleeping from takeoff until the plane landed at the Ji Family mansion.
Getting off the plane, she was still a bit groggy. Da Bao cautiously helped her down, and Mr. Ji, Ji Rui Letong, and Little Treasure gathered around.
"Nuonuo, how are you feeling, any discomfort?" Le Tong sharply noticed Nuonuo’s listlessness from afar and hurried over.
"Mom, she’s not uncomfortable, she’s just very sleepy, like she can never get enough sleep."
Da Bao understood this happened when he found out she was pregnant; she’d been sleepy all the ti since exams finished, like she could never get enough rest. He thought she was exhausted, not imagining she might be pregnant.
Le Tong embraced Nuonuo and let out a long sigh,
"Oh... After getting pregnant, indeed she feels perpetually sleepy. I rember when I was pregnant with Little Treasure, it was much the sa..."
Le Tong’s words were echoed by Ji Rui and Ji Da Bao, and Da Bao vividly recalls joking with Mom about this. Now it’s brought a smile to his face.
Little Treasure glared at him, "Ji Da Bao, I warn you, don’t speak ill of , or I’ll just be telling my little nephew about your flaws all day long!"
Da Bao hadn’t planned to speak, but being threatened by the young master sparked his interest.
"Oh? Then, little master, you’d better use your iPad to catalog all my faults first! Back then Mom was always so sleepy, I said, Mom, didn’t you have a little piglet in your belly, sleeping so much!"
The brothers continued to tease each other as everyone cheerfully returned to the mansion’s living room.
Last night, Da Bao also shared the wedding news with Grandpa, though he learned later that Le Tong inford Mr. Ji of Nuonuo’s pregnancy over the phone.
Upon hearing that his grandson and granddaughter were coming back on Yang Sheng’s private plane early today, Mr. Ji had the chefs prepare plenty of food and drink, fearing little great-grandchild in Nuonuo’s belly might go hungry.
Having flown for hours, Nuonuo had little appetite, so Le Tong went to the kitchen and brought out a bowl of stew for her to drink.

Le Tong shared this idea with Nuonuo and Da Bao. Da Bao looked at Nuonuo, clearly giving her the choice.
When Le Tong was pregnant with Little Treasure, Nuonuo was very young, so she didn’t rember her mom’s situation. Now hearing everyone’s advice, she decided to prioritize the baby and hold the wedding while she was still in good spirits.
This year, the Lunar New Year fell late, at the end of February, so after a morning of discussion, they decided to set the wedding date for February 22. Although it’s three twos on the solar calendar, it is an auspicious day for marriages in the lunar calendar.
This ans Da Bao and Nuonuo’s wedding is just twenty days away.
For many, this might seem rushed. Fortunately, the Ji Family has extensive connections, making a well-planned wedding in such a short ti feasible.
