After sorting out these matters, Alka pushed open the door to his room and entered the captain’s room outside.
This ti, there was a significant amount of information he needed to convey.
Alka drew a card and infused it with Magic Power. The card imdiately transford into a Mirror, through which he began to relay the information he knew.
Using a voice bird to communicate his information was unrealistic; it couldn’t carry such a long ssage unless it was done multiple tis, broken into segnts.
Once he finished, the Mirror in his hand reverted to a card.
However, the card had clearly changed, indicating that this card, engraved with a voice bird, had been used. It was akin to a recorded CD.
Alka approached the window of the captain’s room and shouted to the deck, "Jason! Jason, co here quickly! I need to talk to you."
Upon hearing his shout, Jason soon pushed open the door to the captain’s room and walked in.
"What’s up?" Jason asked.
Alka handed him the card and said, "Infuse it with Magic Power and send it to the Church."
Jason glanced at the card in his hand, noticing the voice bird pattern on it.
He knew it was probably for transmitting information, but he smiled awkwardly and said, "I can’t send it that far."
"It’s okay," Alka reassured him. "Its range depends on my proficiency and Magic Power. Just use it without worry."
The cards Alka created were, of course, based on his own proficiency and abilities.
Hearing this, Jason looked at Alka, nodded, and infused the card with Magic Power.
The card then transford into an ordinary bird, flew out of the window, and disappeared into the darkness.
At that mont, the door to the captain’s room opened once more.
Chadite walked in, glanced at Alka, and asked, "Have you reached Three Spirals?"
She knew Alka had been in the captain’s room earlier, working on his advancent to Three Spirals. Since he was no longer in ditation, it ant he had succeeded.
Upon hearing this, Jason stared at Alka with wide eyes.
What on earth? How could it be so fast? he wondered.
He then recalled that Chadite had also advanced to Two Spirals, sothing he hadn’t noticed before.
So why is their progress so swift? Jason thought, considering his own situation. I’m still only at One Spiral. The gap is too large.
Alka nodded, confirming Chadite’s question.
After a mont of thought, he beckoned to Chadite. "I’m planning to experint with sothing," he said. "Can you assist ?"
Chadite nodded, walked over, and sat in front of Alka.
"What do you need to do?" she asked.
Alka took out paper and a pen. He began to write down the Cursing thod and Spell his father had given him.
He handed the paper to Chadite and said, "Curse using the thod on this."
"Curse ? You want ** to Curse *you*?" Chadite was montarily bewildered.
"Yes," Alka affird with a nod. He then smiled and explained, "Don’t worry, this Curse is very mild. It’s mainly to adapt to the Illusion Body and see if it can withstand the Curse’s damage."
Hearing this, Chadite nodded; it was much more understandable now.
"Alright, I’ll try," Chadite said. "Does it have to be harmful? How severe does the injury need to be for the test to be effective?"
"Of course. That’s the only way to test its effectiveness," Alka replied. "Just create a large wound on an arm... the left arm."
Chadite nodded, and the two began discussing the details of the Curse.
Hearing this, Jason also ca over. He sat nearby, watching them curiously.
Having been separated from Alka and the others for so long, I’ve missed out on too much, Jason thought. I need to catch up properly.
Until Alka had activated his Illusion Body, Jason hadn’t noticed anything different about him.
Chadite prepared all the materials and procedures for the Curse, then began inscribing the Spell.
She drew a simple Cursing pattern on Alka’s hand and an identical one on her own.
After completing all preparations, she looked at Alka and asked, "Should I begin?"
"Yes, go ahead."
Chadite closed her eyes, and the Curse activated.
Taking a dagger, she slashed it hard across her own left arm.
As the blade passed over Chadite’s arm, no wound appeared; the damage had been transferred.
The transferred Curse caused a wide, bleeding gash to appear on the arm of Alka’s Illusion Body, with blood flowing continuously. It looked no different from a real injury.
Chadite looked at the gash on Alka’s arm; it seed the Curse had been successfully cast.
Subsequently, Alka’s real body reappeared, and the gash vanished as if refreshed.
Alka’s physical arm had sustained no damage, indicating the Curse had been blocked by the Illusion Body.
"Excellent," Alka said, his tone brimming with excitent. "It seems the Illusion Body can indeed withstand it."
This ans I’ve directly found a way to counter Jack’s most troubleso ability, and he doesn’t even know it yet, Alka thought. Once I use this, it will be the most critical piece of intelligence. It’s ti to make the final preparations.
A period of ti passed.
On the seas of the Realm of Pitch Darkness, Alka and his party drifted sowhat aimlessly, continuing their training on the ship.
Occasionally, they communicated remotely with the Church’s ships.
It had been confird that all the pirates had withdrawn and regrouped. They were now operating in clusters, their movents confined to the area around Elcott Island.
There were still two weeks left until Harvest Day.
