This was precisely why Alka had been able to lurk as a corpse, erging only at the critical mont.

Their original plan had been that at the instant of Alka’s apparent death, an opening would surely appear for Jack. At that mont, Alka’s father would possess Jack’s body, and the newly revived Alka would seize the opportunity to finish Jack off. However, because the ’corpse’ hadn’t completely ’died,’ Alka and his father actually had more ti to wait for the perfect opportunity.

It was during this waiting period that Lucilia had overheard so of Jack’s mutterings.

"He’d said he was lucky to have acquired an additional Treasure, but he also wished that this Treasure was part of a set."

A set...

Hearing this, Alka frowned, pondering.

What does that an? Could it be that Treasures have so interconnectedness, and those that can be linked form a set? Or is it that any Treasures compatible with each other, without conflict, can be considered a set? Alka muttered to himself.

The others who heard this also shook their heads in confusion. They didn’t even possess a single Treasure; such matters were too far removed from their reality.

But Julia interjected, "One thing is absolutely certain: it’s definitely possible to possess two or even more Treasures."

Hearing this, everyone turned to look at her. Julia had experienced far more than they had, and her insights were correspondingly broader.

"In my hotown, I once t soone who wielded two Treasures. He used them both smoothly, without any signs of incompatibility."

Hearing this, Alka nodded.

Since that point can be confird, there’s no need for further blind speculation. Guessing back and forth won’t yield any accurate information anyway.

After so thought, Alka stood up. "Why are we sitting here guessing blindly?" he said. "Why don’t we just go and ask the Archbishop directly?"

The Archbishop must know that I now possess two Treasures. And speaking of which, although I’m not currently a mber of the Church, I definitely count as a devout follower of the Holy Mother. Even if I ask the Archbishop, he might not give a direct answer, but he should at least provide so useful information. Assuming he actually knows, of course. Perhaps he’s even waiting for to ask. After all, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable about acquiring this Treasure—the banner. It was, to so extent, due to the Church’s forbearance, or perhaps, their generosity.

Hearing Alka’s words, the others nodded. What he said made sense; blindly guessing wouldn’t lead them to the correct answer.

Alka thought for a mont then turned to Chadite. "Chadite, how is the disposal of those treasures coming along?"

Chadite shrugged helplessly, looking sowhat weary. "There are so many treasures, and their types are too varied. I need to sort through their categories and then find suitable buyers to sell them to."

Alka smiled and nodded. "That’s hard work. Keep it up!"

Those treasures really are nurous, Alka thought. They’ll have to be sold off gradually. Otherwise, selling too many at once would definitely drive down the prices. In any case, we’re not in a hurry now; we have plenty of ti. It’s like we’re on vacation.

Hearing Alka’s encouragent, Chadite rolled his eyes and waved his hand helplessly.

Then, Alka placed Lucilia, who had been on his shoulder, onto the coffee table and walked out of the villa alone.

He followed the stone-paved road all the way to the circular avenue of Great Cathedral island. The entire island was called Great Cathedral, a na originating from the Holy Mother Cathedral located in its center. Both sides of the avenue were lined with various buildings exuding a strong religious atmosphere; half the island’s area was occupied by Church buildings and facilities. The peripheral half of the island served as the residential area for pilgrims. The outer rim of the island was lined with ports, where countless pilgrims arrived daily. Due to the sheer number of pilgrims, a daily limit had even been set on how many could enter for worship; otherwise, the pilgrims could fill every nook and cranny of the island.

On this day, the streets were, as always, bustling with pilgrims coming and going. There were commoners in simple attire, wealthy rchants in opulent clothes, and even nobles with arrogant expressions. Here, however, even if one felt contempt for others, they had to suppress it, lest it be considered blasphemy against the Holy Mother.

Alka trod on the clean white marble street, following the circular avenue towards the center of the island, towards the Holy Mother Cathedral that lay at the foot of the giant Holy Mother statue. The colossal Holy Mother statue was clearly visible even from the surrounding sea. Even when struck by the sun’s rays, the light from it didn’t dazzle, always emanating a soft, gentle glow. Below it, the massive Holy Mother Cathedral was composed of various spires and reliefs, with golden ears of wheat replacing flowers in the surrounding landscaping. The place was filled with elents related to the Holy Mother. Every pilgrim erging from worship in the cathedral wore a circlet woven from wheat ears on their head.

Seeing the golden circlets on everyone’s head, Alka couldn’t help but wonder: Are there enough of these golden wheat ears to go around? Won’t they pick the fields bare? Is it too irreverent to be thinking such things in a place like this?

Mulling this over, Alka arrived outside the cathedral. Instead of entering through the main doors, he went around to a side path that led to a small courtyard. It wasn’t his first ti here; he had co with Bobby and the others several tis in the past few days.

Upon entering from the side, he saw a variety of machinery, as well as piles of unknown ores and various materials.
