At this ti, Chadite swung down on a rope and landed on the deck; she had been observing from the lookout tower.
They sat there, chatting idly and regaining their strength.
After several hours, everyone had regained their spirits.
The sky had truly darkened by now, on the verge of nightfall.
Juanlu got up, changed his clothes, and began preparing dinner for everyone.
The others also changed their clothes and then gathered in the captain’s cabin.
Alka tapped the table and said, "We’ve left the Holand Sea but haven’t reached the Endless Sea yet. We know nothing about the route ahead.
"So, everyone must remain vigilant at all tis. Ensure there’s always soone in the lookout tower, even at night, to keep watch."
Everyone nodded; they had agreed on these matters long ago. The necessary tasks were already completed, and proper arrangents had been planned.
However, there was currently no one in the lookout tower. For the short term, the Sound of Dawn would scout the surroundings on its own.
Then, Alka retrieved a box from a cabinet in the captain’s cabin and placed it on the table. This box was specifically designed to store Treasures, and Alka had crafted several of them for the ship.
Opening it revealed the untouched Bloody Team Banner inside.
The aura of the Treasures on Jason and Julia should have dissipated by now. It was ti to master this new Treasure. Otherwise, every minute this Treasure lay idle was a waste of their ti.
Alka picked up the Treasure, looked at Jason and Julia, and asked, "So, which one of you will..."
Before he could finish, Lucilia, who was sitting on his shoulder, kept tilting her head to look at the banner in Alka’s hand. Finally, unable to resist, she reached out her tiny arms and touched it.
The Bloody Team Banner emitted a scarlet light. It floated up before everyone and then slamd heavily onto Lucilia, sending her flying into the wall behind her.
Seeing this, Alka quickly stepped forward and caught Lucilia in mid-air. He then firmly grasped the trembling banner. Although the banner emitted red light, Alka, possessing two Treasures himself, managed to temporarily suppress it with his hands.
Everyone gathered around, looking at Lucilia’s condition in Alka’s hands. Lucilia had closed her eyes, and a faint Magic Power pulsation emanated from her body.
Alka frowned, carefully studying Lucilia’s current state.
Beside him, Chadite couldn’t help but ask with concern, "What’s wrong with her?"
"Her... her Magic Circuits... they’ve been activated?" Alka said, sounding uncertain.

Alka began to process the situation. It wasn’t just that Lucilia was a soul. She was born into a powerful family, and the reason she hadn’t beco a Toucher was a congenital leg defect that prevented her from walking. This defect affected her ability to beco a Toucher, as it prevented her from forming Magic Circuits. Even if her innate Magic Power were activated, it would soon beco dormant, rendering the effort aningless and wasting a slot. After all, there’s a difference between a congenital defect and an acquired disability. And that’s not even considering she was now a soul without a physical body.
One cannot beco a Toucher without a soul, or with a fragnted one. Even a complete soul with a congenitally flawed vessel won’t work. Only the combination of an intact vessel and a complete soul allows one to beco a Toucher. Magic Power and Magic Circuits are abstract concepts, and the physical body and soul are interconnected, mutually influencing each other. Even after death, once the body was gone, soone who had already beco a Toucher could still use Magic Power, though it was much harder to control compared to when they had a physical form. It also made them more susceptible to aberrations. It was like the Evil Spirits in the Realm of Pitch Darkness; initially, they might not be corrupted, and the powerful ones could retain their sanity for centuries.
In Lucilia’s case, as an ordinary person, the only reason her soul persisted was entirely due to the Magic Mirror. The Magic Mirror itself is an exquisite Magic Object that protects her soul. And when Alka supplied it with Magic Power, it also stabilized Lucilia’s soul. No matter how one looked at it, Lucilia shouldn’t have been able to beco a Toucher. There had to be so other reason.
And it wasn’t as if Lucilia hadn’t touched Treasures before. Being by Alka’s side, Lucilia had touched countless Treasures but had never beco a Toucher. Even using this perfect puppet body, she hadn’t. You could even see her sotis sitting on the Dream Catcher’s Crystal Ball, floating around with Alka.
Yet, it was precisely at this mont, upon touching the Bloody Team Banner, that she beca a Toucher. And the Bloody Team Banner, of all things, had reacted! This is all too strange. It’s completely incomprehensible. Why the Bloody Team Banner, specifically?
