As they reached the forward passage at the edge of the All-Beings Sea, Alka would often enter the Dream Realm at night.
The main purpose was to observe if there were any Dream Bubbles from terrestrial creatures nearby, to see if they could find islands similar to Shipwreck Island.
Shipwreck Island was the na they gave to that ship graveyard island at the gateway of the Holand Sea.
Simple, straightforward, and perfectly fitting.
They wondered whether they could encounter such an island here as well.
But after sailing for several days, they still hadn’t seen anything in the Dream Realm—probably there wasn’t any.
Alka sat at the top of the main mast in the lookout cabin, propping up an arm, boredly playing with cards in his hand.
Sitting beside him was a puppet girl. This puppet girl had jet-black hair, was fully ard, dressed in all-black clothing, even her face was covered by a mask, revealing only a pair of black eyes.
On her back was a shortbow, the length of which was quite small, only suitable for her use.
It looked more like a toy, but it was specially crafted by Alka. The arrows it shot, as slender as needles, had trendous piercing power.
If aid at other parts of the body, the damage was minor.
But once it struck critical spots, like the eyes, it was fatal.
Even a thin needle piercing into the brain could be deadly.
Originally, Alka wanted to equip her with a Vibrating Stone Gun, but he found that if he shrunk the Vibrating Stone Gun down to such a small size, it would be pointless.
The power of the bullets made like that was not even as good as the special piercing arrows Alka crafted.
She also wore long, thin needle blades strapped to her waist and thighs.
This was Puppet Girl No. 1, profession: Sentinel.
Since she was a puppet, there was no need for her to rest, so she was always on watch in the cabin, assisting everyone with vigilance.
At this ti, the lookout cabin was no longer as empty as before.
Inside were all sorts of items.
Most belonged to the crew, for them to while away the ti during their watch shifts in the cabin.
For example, Pororo’s fitness equipnt, Julia’s sheet music, Chadite’s drawing board and paintbrushes, and so books, etc.
Footsteps sounded from behind.
Alka turned to see Julia, there to take over the shift, holding an unknown musical instrunt in her hand.
"Go take a rest."
Alka nodded, then jumped down from above, grabbing onto a rope and swinging directly to the second floor of the poop deck, entering his own cabin.
He collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep right away.
Sinking into his Dream Realm in sleep.
Inside his own Dream Bubble, Alka opened his eyes. But, instead of lying down to sleep, he flew outside the bubble.
He circled the surroundings, making sure there were no Dream Realm creatures prowling outside the crew’s bubbles.
But patrolling like this all the ti wasn’t a solution. Sotis, Alka had things to do outside and went to bed late—sotis even only slept during the day.
In the forward passage it was fine, but once they reached the Endless Sea, it probably wouldn’t be as desolate as here.
Accordingly, in the Dream Realm, those monsters would beco more nurous.
By then, he probably wouldn’t have so much ti or so many chances to constantly clear away monsters spying on their dreams.
He needed to co up with a solution before heading toward the Endless Sea.
Lost in thought, Alka’s eyes lit up, as he discovered another Dream Realm creature.
Beside a black-and-white spherical orb of light and shadow, a black Scythe was floating.
This was the form a Dream Death God took when resting.
It was another Dream Death God.
Alka had never tried to simulate a Dream Death God for battle—partly because he hadn’t encountered any suitable enough combat scenarios yet, and also because his observation of the Dream Death God was still rather superficial.
Now that he’d run into another one, he would have to observe it thoroughly.
Alka quietly shrank behind a tuft of pale gray mist, wrapping himself gently in pink clouds.
So brazenly, he began his observation. Suddenly, an idea struck him, and a fragnt of Mirror appeared in his hand. Wrapped in cloud, it floated over.
Lightly, he pressed it next to the orb, and it disappeared out of sight.
This was a little gadget Alka had crafted by combining a property of the Mirror Surface and the powerful effects of cloud in the Dream Realm.
Besides marking the position of this Dream Death God, it allowed Alka to observe him at any mont.
This was sothing Alka had spent a long ti researching specifically for his simulation.
This way, he could observe those rare Dream Realm monsters in detail, anyti and anywhere.
This thing was inspired by Alka’s earlier desire to mark the location of the Dream Death God, but as they were always in constant motion in the outside world, once they left the area where the Death God resided, even if they’d marked it, they couldn’t get back to observe it.
Now, after marking it, he could still use the Mirror fragnt to observe, and since it was wrapped and hidden in pink mist, it was almost impossible to detect.
Since coming into the Dream Realm in recent tis, Alka discovered that pink fog had a high level of priority there, or perhaps it was a very powerful energy for the Dream Realm.
It acted as a kind of universal energy in the Dream Realm, allowing Alka to realize many of his ideas.
This way, Alka could observe the habits of this Dream Death God at any ti, and ideally, fully simulate the abilities of the Dream Death God.
