With Alka’s call, Xuan’s figure appeared in the Mirror Surface. She tilted her head, looking at the Mirror, then directly stuck her head inside.
"Daddy? What are you doing?"
I didn’t let you co in, Alka thought, his eyes widening slightly as he saw Xuan stick her head into the Mirror. He resisted his initial reaction, reached out, and gently pushed Xuan’s head back.
"Listen to ," Alka said. "Go into a Deep Sleep, and stack your Dream Bubble onto mine in the way I taught you before."
Hearing Alka’s words, Xuan, on the other side of the Mirror, nodded.
Then Alka waved his hand gently, and the Mirror disappeared.
How could she enter the Mirror? Alka muttered to himself, unable to understand. He hadn’t used any Mirror-related materials in Xuan’s construction; almost all materials, aside from the most basic ones, were related to dreams. This allowed Xuan to move freely from birth within the Dream Realm, and she was the only one among the Puppet Girls who could dream. Being able to dream ant she truly beca a life, Alka thought, which made him very happy. Even those constructed like her—Two, San, and Four—could not produce Dream Bubbles; they didn’t even need to go into Deep Sleep. Instead, they entered hibernation.

It constructed the Mirror as if by instinct. This kind of change possibly allowed Xuan, made from Alka’s hair, to possess the sa characteristic. This was not an isolated case. Two, San, and Four also showed such characteristics, though there were so differences.
While Alka was contemplating, he sensed a change in the Dream Realm. A round Dream Bubble appeared in the middle of his Dream World. He could feel the connection with the other person’s Dream Realm and could even control it. However, he had known this characteristic for a long ti, so he wasn’t surprised. With a wave of his hand, the Dream Bubble above disappeared, and Alka’s own Dream Realm expanded once again. He fused his Dream Realm with Xuan’s. Of course, it was only effective on Xuan because she was born of this connection, he mused.
"Catch quickly, Daddy!"
From the sky, a little girl fell. Alka reached out and caught her.
In the Dream Realm, Xuan no longer had the appearance of a Puppet Girl but had transford into a girl about seven or eight years old. She wore a plain white dress with black lace trim and clung to Alka’s neck. Looking at Alka, she revealed a bright smile.
"HEE-HEE!"
He reached his hands under her armpits and lifted her.
"What are you doing, Daddy?" Xuan asked curiously as she was lifted.
Alka looked at this little girl who had the sa hair color and eyes as him, and even a slightly similar face shape. A wave of emotion inexplicably rose within him. In his past life, illness had prevented him from having a family, so he had naturally missed the experience of having a child. Yet here, he inexplicably felt it. Thinking about his current age, he seed to be only 21. Calculating it, he realized he had unknowingly been in this world for so many years.
Feeling a slight coolness on his face, Alka’s thoughts were interrupted. Xuan was patting his cheeks with her hands, laughing playfully. Her palms were slightly cool, devoid of any warmth; though soft, a distinct hardness could still be felt beneath.
Putting his emotions away, Alka thought, then pinched her nose.
"Alright," he said. "Let’s get down to business now."
