Seeing the distant vegetation, where light and shadow swayed and twisted, Julia held her breath, observing quietly.
A short figure rushed out, followed by a few others.
Seeing the figure rush out, Julia imdiately stood up, called out, and waved.
Lu, hearing soone calling ahead, imdiately ran over.
Looking at Julia and her companions, he said, "We finally found you."
"Found us?" Julia was a bit puzzled. So they specifically ca looking for us.
Lu nodded. "The Leader sent a ssage saying that if we headed this way, we would et you. He told you to turn back, not to go any further. If you continue forward, you’ll encounter the enemy."
Julia nodded upon hearing this. So we were the ones who were lost.
They imdiately joined Lu’s group and headed in the opposite direction.
As they walked, Pororo asked, "You were able to find my location. Does that an Alka and the others can monitor our position in real-ti?"
Lu nodded.
"Did they escape? Are they injured? What’s the situation now?" Julia asked from the side.
"They’re fine."
Hearing this answer, they all felt relieved.
「At this ti, outside the village.」
The General, his soldiers, and the captured Balazs and his n had stopped there. They showed no intention of exploring further.
Gazing at the surroundings, which had beco completely surreal and chaotic, Balazs looked on, sowhat dazed. It wasn’t just him; everyone except the General couldn’t help but observe their surroundings, including the nearby soldiers. However, no one asked what was causing such changes.
Balazs finally couldn’t bear it any longer. He looked at the General and asked, "What on earth is happening? Why has this place beco like this? Aren’t we leaving?"
The General heard Balazs’s question, glanced at him, then at the expectant looks of the others around them.
He explained from where he stood, "This island is being dragged into the Dream Realm. For now, don’t think about leaving. We’re trapped."
As a mber of the royal family, although he hadn’t personally experienced such an extrely rare ’weak point in reality,’ he had read about such situations in the royal records. So, at least I’m not completely ignorant about this.
"Then... does that an we can never return?" Balazs asked, his expression sowhat despondent.
I’m so unlucky, he thought. Judging by the General’s expression, even he didn’t expect this situation.
"Of course not," the General replied. "These weak points don’t last forever. After a certain amount of ti, it will return to reality, and then we can leave."
Although I don’t know if that’s really true, that’s what the records say, the General mused. And right now, that’s all I can say. Otherwise, even my own soldiers would despair. Even I can only hope that’s the case.
"Behind us... behind us, there’s a monster!"
One of the rchants suddenly spun around and shouted, pointing at a shadowy creature behind them.
It was an elongated entity composed of black and silver, resembling a snake. It had no visible eyes, only an open mouth.
Hearing his shout, the other rchants nearby turned and quickly recoiled, scrambling behind the General as fast as they could.
Balazs attacked first, launching an arrow made of flas.
However, it had no effect whatsoever.
The surrounding soldiers, including the General, also launched their attacks.
Yet, though the black mist enveloping the giant shadow snake was dispersed by their blows, it quickly reford. Their attacks inflicted no damage whatsoever.
"It’s no use! What should we do? We need to run!" soone shouted urgently.
The General narrowed his eyes slightly, observing the shadow monster.
"Don’t panic," ca his steady voice.
His words acted like a calming presence, steadying the emotions of those around him. He continued to watch the shadow creature.
He opened his left palm, raised his right index finger, and lightly drew it across his skin. A shallow cut appeared, and drops of fresh blood welled up.
Magic Power surged, mingling with the blood, and he forcefully flung the mixture outwards.
The blood, carried by an invisible force, struck the shadow creature. The powerful attack instantly dispersed it. The black fog vanished and did not reform.
It transford into a piece of strange tal, which then clattered to the ground.
Looking at the vanquished monster, the General then glanced at the cut on his palm. He narrowed his eyes, lost in so unknown thought.
One of the soldiers had already retrieved the fallen piece of tal.
