Alka felt a chill run down his spine listening to this. Is this really sothing a normal person can achieve?
Only by truly existing and experiencing this world would one know that being a jack-of-all-trades is nearly impossible.
"Have you decided? To bear such pressure. If you were just an ordinary person, a gifted young man, suddenly bearing such pressure, I wouldn't care."
"But the problem is, your ability, your bloodline, your responsibility—they all empower you to tread this path."
At this point, the instructor's pupils suddenly unfocused. He stared at the artificial sky simulated by the trial, pondering sothing unknown.
"The most frightening thing isn't having grand objectives, but rather that those grand objectives seem like graspable illusions."
If one were rely a normal genius who swore to save the world, they would eventually realize they lacked the capability and give up for various reasons.
But the problem is, with such power, influence, and authority, that grand yet illusory dream becos tangible, leading one to endlessly pursue it.
After saying a bit more, he looked at the contemplative Alka.
A Magic Bullet flew over.
Just as it was about to hit Alka, a shattered Mirror Surface appeared, blocking the Magic Bullet's attack.
Alka raised his head to look at him.
"Alright, don't dwell on these things; keep moving forward. Though I don't know what goals you've set, my expectations of you will be higher now. Enjoy the upcoming training. If you don't et my expectations, I won't let you attempt the challenge."
Five Magic Bullets floated in the instructor's hand as he smiled and spoke to Alka.
"Ah?" Alka was sowhat puzzled. "To attempt the challenge, I need your approval?"
Hearing this, the instructor stood his ground, looking at him with a peculiar expression. "Of course…"
Then, he suddenly beca lost in thought.
"It seems groundbreaking changes have already occurred outside... I've overslept."
Saying this, he composed himself, looking at Alka and beckoning.
"You just need to rember, my expectations of you have increased. Sorry, as your instructor, I have that right."
"I couldn't wish for anything more," Alka said with a smile.
Over the years, he had truly lacked any real goals, always maintaining a playful attitude. Now his goals were firm, and naturally, he had a stronger drive. This brought about a substantial change for him, as he was essentially a being from the Otherworld.
The Mirror Surface erged. This ti, however, it didn't appear on Alka's face but directly in his palm. The Mirror Surface quickly transford into the shape of a deer's head, which he fitted snugly onto his face.
His entire body underwent the sa transformation; deer-like, digitigrade legs replaced his own. The fur cloak and attire exuding a primal wildness completely altered Alka's style.
The Dreamcatcher Crystal Ball erged, hovering beside Alka.
Seeing the instructor hesitate to make the first move, Alka decided not to wait any longer. A vast pink mist began to fill the entire space, spreading out and becoming finer until visibility was lost.
A massive Mirror appeared at the top of the area.
CRACK!
The sound of shattering resounded, and various fragnts filled the air, floating all around.
The instructor remained in place, observing the floating fragnts.
"Can the activation speed be increased? Is the Magic Power consumption significant?"
"It can, with training. The consumption is acceptable."
Hearing Alka's answer, the instructor nodded.
Suddenly, he jerked his hand upward, seizing a dagger that had abruptly appeared before him.
A silver light flashed from the side.
The hand grasping the dagger sharply lifted in an attempt to dodge. The Mirror Card's attack was too sudden; a wound appeared on the instructor's hand. And the dagger he had seized also suddenly exploded.
A thick Magic Shield blocked the impact from the dagger's explosion and the flying fragnts.
The instructor kicked hard off the ground, retreating several ters to create so distance.
anwhile, in the distance, Alka, now wearing the deer-head mask, continued approaching slowly. They were over ten ters apart. His footsteps made a crisp sound on the stone ground.
The instructor's Magic Bullets began to shoot rapidly toward the distant Alka, striking him directly. But shattered mirror fragnts appeared, blocking the Magic Bullets' attack. All the Magic Bullets were blocked by these fragnts. The fragnts were just large enough to block the Magic Bullets, and they exploded in mid-air along with them.
"Precise defense... hmm, an auto-counter?"
Hearing the instructor's words, the deer-headed Alka nodded.
The mirror fragnts used for blocking were, in reality, a constructed automated defense. When an attack ca within a certain range of Alka, fragnts would materialize in front of it to block it. Typically, this defense couldn't fend off foes from too far away. However, once Alka altered the environnt, the mirrors' blocks would beco highly precise.
Alka raised both hands, and eight Mirror Cards appeared. With a gentle flick, they flew towards the instructor, tracing various strange arcs. As the Mirror Cards flew out, not only were their flight paths erratic, but the cards themselves also flickered in and out of existence.
Seeing this attack, the instructor did not hesitate. The shockwave he had used before radiated out once again.
However, the flickering cards were unaffected.
