Lacks a powerful, decisive attack thod. It needs to be strong enough, deadly enough, even overwhelming in terms of damage—the stronger, the better.
Close combat is terrible, utterly beaten with no chance to fight back, like a three-year-old brawling with an adult.
These two points are what Alka summarized as his greatest shortcomings.
Right now, he sat beside the Teleportation Platform, bruised and battered, receiving healing from Matilda.
His poor performance in close combat amazed the instructor—he didn't even have the ans to defend himself.
So, the seemingly mild-mannered instructor gave Alka a harsh lesson, letting him know that even if lee wasn't his main form of attack, he still had to have it.
Such weak close-range attacks were intolerable to him—it was almost as if he didn't have any at all.
"How did you end up this ssed up this ti?" Jason asked from the side.
"You haven't even seen the instructor—you just don't get it." Alka looked at him, mocking him.
"Tsk, damn it." Jason scoffed, curling his lip.
"Just wait, this ti I'm getting through for sure." Hearing that, Alka glanced up at the Crystal Dragon flying in the sky.
He believed this much: the Crystal Dragon's growth to a new stage should provide strong enough feedback.
The Crystal Dragon was now able to fly at this stage. Though it could only fly low and not very fast, it was enough to make her excited.
Suddenly, loud bangs ca from not far away, and clouds of dust billowed upward.
Before long, several of Simon's flying machines ford a stretcher and carried Julia over from the air.
Julia looked rather miserable at the mont, but her spirits seed pretty good.
Seeing Julia's condition, Matilda swam over to quickly help heal her.
Luckily, though she looked pitiful, she wasn't badly hurt.
Pororo strode over. When Lucilia saw him, she jumped onto his shoulder and shouted loudly into his ear.
"You went way too hard on her!"
Faced with Lucilia's accusations, Pororo just shrugged helplessly.
"Hey, it's a way of letting off steam. You can't just bla alone."
The one who'd made Julia such a ss was none other than Pororo.
Julia's main job on the ship was support—and she was hardly weak herself.
But in a direct contest of strength, she was still clearly weaker than Pororo.
It couldn't be helped that she ca out of it so battered. After all, against Julia Pororo didn't have overwhelming power, so sotis he couldn't hold back.
At least he wouldn't cause serious harm, let alone threaten her life.
This was just sparring, after all, and sotis things couldn't be helped.
After a while—
Chadite ca out. This ti Chadite looked pretty good, only a bit dusty, with not many wounds.
"Watch , I'm definitely seeing the instructor this round."
Jason said and stepped onto the Teleportation Platform, disappearing.
…
Crystal explosions sparkled brightly.
They brought dazzling rainbow colors and a surge of translucent Crystal Pillars, bursting forth.
A massive creature, gorilla-like, was impaled beneath the Crystal Pillars.
The spreading Crystal Pillars began to harden around it, then turned its whole body to crystal, shattering it into fragnts.
It turned into fine ash.
The scene changed, and Jason found himself back at the starting point.
He saw the numbers change on the gate before him.
Jason sat right down on the ground, panting heavily, gulping for air.
He'd gone all out and finally won the fight.
But if you looked closely, Jason actually didn't have any real wounds—it was just that he'd expended too much energy.
After a short rest, he got up and did his best to push open the stone door.
He entered the Fourth Floor.
The floor of equal strength.
This floor was set in a valley ringed by trees and rocks, its ground covered in flowers and foliage.
It looked full of birdsong and fragrance, brimming with both natural beauty and wildness.
"Huh? Why's it different from what Alka said?"
Jason thought with so confusion.
Alka and Chadite had seen the sa environnt—a circular stone training ground.
The only difference was their instructor's gender.
Because of his race, Pororo found himself in an Icy Ocean, with an instructor who was also a Fishman.
But this one was an ancient Fishman, a species of fish that no longer existed today.
This ant the entire Tower of Trial had different instructors.
They would be assigned based on each Trial Taker, to suit them as well as possible.
With these questions in his mind, Jason entered the valley.
Facing his instructor, Jason froze on the spot in shock.
And not just him—even the instructor was a bit surprised.
"A human? Not a Dragonborn?" he asked, looking puzzled.
The instructor before him had dragon horns and a head like a lizard.
He stood two-and-a-half ters tall, with exposed skin covered in scales, and behind him stretched a pair of massive wings—half bat, half Giant Dragon.
A long, thin tail swung powerfully behind him.
His scales were a pale red color overall.
This was a Dragonman, or rather, could be called a Dragonborn.
An ancient race, one Jason only knew from records—he'd never seen one in real life until now.
He never thought his instructor would turn out to be a Dragonborn.
"The Tower of Trial's detector almost never makes mistakes. Let have a look."
As he spoke, a magic-powered light screen appeared beside him, displaying so of Jason's information. He examined it carefully, trying to figure out what was going on.
