Hearing Alka's words, everyone nodded.
"I'll go in first," Alka said, standing on the Teleportation Platform.
However, he wasn't undertaking a challenge; instead, he was undergoing a trial.
As his figure disappeared, Alka instantly spawned in a stone chamber and pushed open the large door before him. He entered the stone platform he was already familiar with.
The ntor was standing there; he had been waiting for Alka for a long ti.
Looking at the arriving Alka, he smiled and said, "Two of my colleagues have already completed their tasks. It seems two of your friends have successfully passed the challenge."
Alka nodded. "Yes, it seems to have been fairly successful."
"That's good. And what about you? Are you ready to challenge?"
Hearing the ntor's words, Alka shook his head. "No, my strength is still insufficient. I'll only do it when I have enough strength to completely pass the challenge mode."
Hearing Alka's words, the ntor's expression showed obvious satisfaction. He nodded with a smile and said, "Very well, that's the best timing. You have the aptitude to clear the entire tower. Challenging just for ordinary rewards would be a real pity."
"Alright, let's save the chit-chat for later. Now, let see what you ntioned—the ability that improved your close-combat prowess," the ntor said, as light combat attire materialized on him.
Alka nodded and, without hesitating, a Mirror Surface materialized in his hand. But this ti, what surfaced on the Mirror Surface was no longer Mirmi's figure. It had turned into a pitch-black shadow instead.
Subsequently, the mask transford, becoming as black as ink, with three sharp horns extending from its top. Its entire surface took on a sowhat triangular structure. Alka donned the mask.
Billowing shadows began to spread downward from the mask, forming a shell-like Soft Armor that clung to Alka's body.
Alka's hands beca robust. His palms transford into claw-like appendages, each with four fingers and as broad as half his face. The shadow at his rear ford a slender, whip-like tail. Its tip featured a sharp, fin-like structure, evidently making the tail another flexible weapon at his disposal.
The most striking change occurred at Alka's shoulders and back, where another pair of hands extended upwards. These hands appeared much more distinct and slender than his primary ones. The hands of these shadow-ford arms transford into exceptionally sharp blades. This was the extra pair of arms Alka had gained, which would be more effective in close combat.
"A transformation simulation similar to a deer?" the ntor mused. "Your mask indeed seems to be made from the Divine Essence of the Magic Mirror Walker."
This remark made Alka, who had been preparing for battle, pause and ask curiously, "Demon Realm Walker? What is that?"
"A demigod's title. He hid his real na; the world called him the Magic Mirror Walker. Before the age of the Divine War, his na was quite renowned. He delighted in pranks and mischief, possessed an extrely vile personality utterly lacking in empathy, and frequently caused widespread destruction through his 'playful' antics. If his father hadn't been so powerful, he would have been jointly annihilated long ago. It seems he also perished during the Divine War, which, frankly, is a good thing."
After briefly recounting the deeds and origins of the Magic Mirror Walker, the ntor charged directly forward. Alka quickly t his advance. The two instantly clashed.
After so much close-quarters combat training, Alka's lee skills had improved by leaps and bounds. With the help of this new form, his combat stance beca smoother. Aside from needing to adapt to the two new arms on his back, everything was progressing well.
The ntor also seed intent on training Alka's use of these new arms, constantly forcing him to bring them into play. He didn't overlook Alka's tail either. Since it was clearly a weapon, and Alka's entire body was now ard, every part had to be utilized effectively.
From the ntor's expression, it was evident he was very pleased with this performance. Combined with the bizarre maneuvers Alka interspersed throughout the lee, his offensive actions beca highly deceptive. Alka was now able to effectively apply his deceptive techniques in offensive close combat. Even though this shadow creature form he transford into was skilled in close combat, it was undeniably still a being from the Dream World.
They fought like this for a long ti, until Alka's stamina was completely depleted and a punch sent him sprawling to the ground. Only then did he lie there, weakly waving his hand to signal he could no longer continue.
The ntor walked over, extended a hand, and pulled Alka, who had already removed the mask, up from the ground. "Not bad. This form is truly impressive. Indeed, the Dream World is full of all sorts of strange things. I've actually never seen anything like it," the ntor said, a hint of regret in his voice.
Hearing this, Alka couldn't help but smile. His ntor had always prided himself on his erudition, but the Dream Realm was the one area that repeatedly stumped him.
The two of them sat down nearby, chatting casually. In truth, it was more a case of Alka asking him various questions. After all, this ntor had lived since the era before the Divine War. The only regrettable aspect was his limited knowledge regarding certain details of the Divine War. This was because he had already died before that ti and had subsequently beco a ntor within this tower.
"After today, you no longer need to enter the trial every week. At this point, there's very little here that can enhance your strength. You simply need to continue along this path."
