Inside the Dawn Sound Observation Room.
The Magic Gathering Stone, floating at the top center, was in operation. This observation room had been recently refurbished. A transparent crystal disc was set into the center of the ceiling, its interior filled with patterns of Magic Power. Various circular Crystal Stones also orbited the Magic Gathering Stone.
At this mont, a pink Crystal Stone, resembling mist, was radiating light and operating in conjunction with the Magic Gathering Stone. This caused the Magic Power within the high-concentration magic circle ford by the Magic Gathering Stone to transform into a faint, pink, mist-like form. And within this mist, Alka was ditating. Two patrol machines were nearby, conducting data monitoring.
"PHEW..."
A pale white breath escaped his lips.
Alka opened his eyes, picked up the towel that had been prepared nearby, and wiped the sweat from his face. After standing up, he reached out and deactivated the Magic Gathering Stone.
It can no longer be called just a Magic Gathering Stone, Alka thought, looking at the setup above his head. It should be called a Magic Gathering Array.
Although they lacked the skill and technology to create sothing as sophisticated as the Magic Gathering Stone itself, they could still collaborate to add other modules to it, enhancing its capabilities.
"Data... detection complete," one of the patrol machines announced.
"Record analysis... archive storage complete."
"Archive Na: 'Single-Attribute Modulator Model 1.21—Changes During Dream Realm/Spirit Single-Spiral Enhancent'."
The data-logging patrol machines on either side, having recorded and archived the data, then flew out through the window.
The four differently colored Crystal Stones floating at the top of the Magic Gathering Stone, along with the crystal skylight—a simple modification to the observation room based on the Magic Gathering Stone's operation—were all products of their research during this period. An individual Crystal Stone could take the high-purity, adaptive Magic Power gathered by the Magic Gathering Stone and convert it to a single attribute.
The Crystal Stone with the highest degree of completion and best effect was the one adapted for Alka; it could convert high-purity Magic Power into highly concentrated Dream Realm and spiritual Energy. Unfortunately, such specialized Crystal Stones had to be crafted from materials with an extrely high degree of compatibility. Alka could move freely within the Dream Realm, where his strength was even greater than in reality. This allowed him to gather more materials and even use his abilities within the Dream Realm to further process or forge them.
Among these four, the blue Crystal Stone was suitable for the three aquatic Race mbers on the ship, as their Magic Power was relatively resistant to alteration by a Treasure. Therefore, a single Crystal Stone was sufficient to provide adaptive Magic Power for all three of them. The other two were respectively adapted for Jason, who wielded Holy Light, and Chadite, who utilized pure light. Jason's Magic Power hadn't changed due to his contract with the Crystal Dragon. The contract was mutual, aid at enhancing the capabilities of both parties, and lacked the aggressive, invasive nature of a Treasure. Especially since this so-called "Treasure" was an intelligent Giant Dragon.
As for Juanlu, Simon, and Lucilia, their Treasures didn't alter their internal Magic Power in the slightest. On the contrary, the purest form of Magic Power was more suitable for them and their Treasures.
Nevertheless, it was undeniable that since this apparatus had been created, the crew's rate of strength improvent had accelerated once more. This acceleration wasn't reflected in raw efficiency but rather in the Magic Power being easier to absorb and imposing less physical strain. The benefit was that their high-intensity ditation sessions, which originally lasted only an hour, could now be extended by an additional half hour. The highly compatible Magic Power exerted far less pressure, effectively increasing their ditation endurance by 50%. It was an absolutely significant improvent.
He carefully returned these components to their positions at the top and deactivated the array.
Alka inspected the Spirals within his body. The Spirals within him had now reached a total of 18. These Spirals had fully ford into two complete Combinations, each composed of a group of 9 Spirals. He linked a powerful Spell, long since prepared, to one of these newly constructed Nine-Spiral groups.
[Divine Thought Disturbance] was a potent Spell that targeted the mind, offering a high degree of operational flexibility. It could inflict various ntal interferences, even hallucinations and illusions, upon the minds of intelligent beings. It was exceptionally effective against opponents of a similar power level. The catch was that such a powerful Spell needed to be anchored to an entire Nine-Spiral group to fully unleash its potential.
His other Nine-Spiral group was anchored with various other utilitarian Spells. Examples included an adaptively triggered Shield, physical reinforcent, and aura concealnt.
"It's a sha. I still haven't found a powerful offensive Spell that can deliver a decisive blow," Alka mused. Alka hadn't yet devised a good solution for a powerful offensive ability at his current stage.
He took the ti-keeping Hourglass from his pocket.
They had been on Trial Island for more than a hundred days and nights now; their stay had been quite long. Alka had fulfilled the instructor's requirents long ago, so at this point, he spent most of his ti on the ship, ditating and studying. He also sifted through Mirmi's fragnted mories, searching for useful Spells to learn. Alternatively, he would transcribe promising Spells into the ship's library for others to study. And on a daily basis, he provided assistance to the others with their training.
He was mainly waiting for Chadite and the others to et the necessary requirents.
With these thoughts, Alka made his way to the deck.
At that mont, he was the only one aboard the Sound of Dawn; his companions were all at the Tower of Trial, undergoing their respective trials.
