Julia was holding sothing made of white shell in her hand, which was the item obtained earlier from the rfolk.
Alka looked at the shell and could distinctly sense the faint Magic Power emanating from it.
This must be a Spell item, sothing Julia had never possessed before. It’s obvious that this item is a relic of the rfolk, the specific object indicated by this treasure hunt.
"So what is this thing?"
Hearing this question, Julia gently opened the shell in front of everyone.
However, after seeing the contents inside, everyone felt a little disappointed.
Inside was a smooth Pearl, about the size of a thumb.
Its milky white sheen reflected a glossy luster.
The luster it reflected even displayed colorful glows.
Regardless of its purpose, just the appearance alone would be worth a lot of money.
But it seed quite different from what Alka and the others had expected.
"This is a music box. The Pearl inside is a natural Magic Item that allows a creature unable to breathe underwater to do so."
Upon hearing Julia’s words, a few terrestrial creatures imdiately showed interest.
Breathe underwater?
"Is it that kind of ability where a bubble forms over the head?" asked Lucilia.
She was referring to an effect that also allows underwater breathing.
However, the breathing duration is limited, mainly depending on your proficiency with the Spell and the amount of oxygen stored in the bubble over your head.
Essentially, it serves as a temporary oxygen mask.
This Spell is relatively common, but not so easily obtained.
At least everyone in Holand Sea knew it.
Julia shook her head. "Not that kind. It’s more like being able to breathe in the Ocean like a fish."
Saying this, Julia handed the Pearl to Lucilia.
Clearly, it was of no use to her since she could already breathe freely in the water.
Lucilia looked at the Pearl cupped in her hands and sighed helplessly.
"What a pity, I don’t need to breathe at all now."
Hearing this, Alka silently took the Pearl and held it in his hand.
As the Pearl lay in his hand, he distinctly felt sothing different.
From his other hand surged a stream of water, which wrapped around his head at his command.
Alka blew bubbles in the water; he found he could indeed breathe underwater.
This item functioned like an extra Magic-crafted filtration system layered over a normal person’s mouth, absorbing oxygen from the water during breaths.
It allowed for underwater breathing without altering normal human physiology.
Remarkably, this Pearl seed to require no Magic Power; simply holding it enabled free breathing underwater. Compared to that Spell, its endurance was near limitless. In this Ocean world, this Pearl was certainly quite valuable.
After experiencing it, he tossed the Pearl to Simon.
This Pearl was for Simon to craft suitable equipnt with.
A lodious song reached everyone’s ears, distinctly different from Julia’s but clearly of the sa origin.
Turning to look, they saw that the sound originated from the Shell Music Box in Julia’s hand.
If one were to guess, this was likely the song of the deceased rfolk.
However, this song sounded peculiar, less like actual singing. It seed more like a narrative delivered in song form, though it remained sowhat enchanting.
Julia closed her eyes, listening intently.
It seed there was so unknown information being conveyed within the Shell Music Box.
The others listened to the song quietly, unable to discern the information it conveyed.
Before long, Julia opened her eyes.
"The deceased rfolk was a Life Master."
They were familiar with the title of Life Master.
It was a title under the Church of the Seed of Life, which revered life.
It was comparable to the Saint or Saintess of the Holy Mother Church.
However, there were significant differences.
Life Master was more of an honorary title, a comndation of personal strength and actions.
Persons bearing this title had remarkable achievents in environntal preservation.
Thus, they were called Life Masters.
"She sought to understand the situation at the Life and Death Boundary and was consequently invaded by the power of death. Furthermore, this realm harbored extre hostility towards mbers of the Seed of Life, which ultimately led to her perishing there. Before dying, she left behind so information and also her Treasure at the Life and Death Boundary."
Saying this, Julia paused.
She looked up at everyone and said, "Her strength... was Sixth Stage."
"Sixth Stage, huh..." Alka mused.
How should I put it? Even in the Endless Sea, soone at the Sixth Stage could be considered strong. Yet, such a strong expert perished so easily at the Life and Death Boundary. It seems that without reaching the Seventh or Eighth Stage, one cannot rashly explore that place. An expert at the Sixth Stage of strength, rely because they were invaded by that power, had to await death in the sea. Truly despairing.
After so thought, he asked, "Did she ntion any information about the Life and Death Boundary? For instance, what caused her severe injuries, and why did she leave her Treasure there?"
