He held a Scepter made of a large, erald-green vine coiled together, with a flower blooming at its top. This blooming flower was identical to the one Alka had seen in his dream before, resembling the enormous flower bud in the center of the plaza as it blossod.
Alka could see the old man looking at him with a kindly and amiable expression.
"You've arrived. I've been expecting you for quite so ti."
Hearing these words, Alka was slightly taken aback but still bowed slightly to show respect.
"Well then, Your Excellency Great Gardener, this should be our first eting."
"Indeed." The Great Gardener nodded. "But I must thank you for the assistance you provided at the Jade Fortress. It helped us reduce our losses significantly, especially during this rather critical ti."
"It was only what I should do. But what do you an by 'expecting for quite so ti,' Your Excellency?"
Alka didn't beat around the bush, cutting straight to the chase. Ever since he had arrived in this place, everything had felt strange. They seed to have been waiting for him.
"Exactly what it sounds like. We've been waiting for you for a day."
"Waiting for for a day…"
Alka furrowed his brows slightly.
That statent was quite interesting. Not waiting for several days, but only one. This implied that sothing within the past day, or the day before, had drawn their attention to him, making them believe he would seek them out.
What extraordinary things have I done recently? Alka pondered. Ah, I entered the Dream World of the Land of Fragrance…
He seed to understand. He had discovered the true place of resurgence for the so-called Flower Fairy within the Dream World of the Land of Fragrance. Yes, within the Land of Fragrance's Dream World itself.
And I thought I'd gotten away quickly, without being noticed, he mused. Evidently, that wasn't the case.
With this realization, Alka looked up at the old man and then surveyed his surroundings. The Great Gardener's strength was clearly beyond his ability to handle.
"It seems you've misunderstood," the Great Gardener said. "We harbor no ill intentions towards you. We were rely waiting for you here, hoping you could provide us with a little assistance. However, this assistance must be provided covertly, which is why we had to invite you here. Please forgive our presumptuousness."
The Great Gardener bowed slightly, his expression sincere.
Alka found this explanation sowhat acceptable. But even if I didn't, what choice would I have? he thought. I need sothing from them right now. And conveniently, they also need sothing. So, it's a welco developnt.
"Assistance?"
They need to provide assistance? If I rember correctly, my strength hasn't surpassed the Fourth Stage yet. Are they already so desperate?
Though his mind raced with such complaints, outwardly, Alka maintained a polite deanor, nodding and asking, "What assistance can I provide? I believe any help I could offer wouldn't be very significant."
"That's not sothing I would know," the Great Gardener replied.
Upon hearing this, Alka couldn't help but furrow his brows again.
If I recall correctly, within the structure of the Realm of Spirits, the Great Gardener before should be at the pinnacle of power, equivalent to the leader of the entire Realm of Spirits. And he doesn't have the authority? Then who would want… could it be…
A dreadful premonition surfaced in Alka's heart. He looked at the Great Gardener before him and asked directly, "Then, can I refuse?"
This question stunned the Great Gardener slightly; he hadn't expected Alka to be so direct. Shouldn't there at least be so bargaining, so discussion first? he thought.
However, even when faced with this question, the Great Gardener maintained a gentle smile. He wasn't angry.
He said, "Why not have a spiritual communion with our god first and listen to the conditions we offer?"
It seems refusal isn't an option. Alka could only nod.
Seeing Alka nod, the Great Gardener's eyes widened slightly, and he smiled. He then firmly planted the large Flower Wand in his hand onto the ground. Vines imdiately extended from the bottom end of the giant Flower Wand, connecting with the earth and rging with the floor. The flower at its top blood even more brilliantly, and a faint, exotic floral fragrance began to drift out.
"Then I won't disturb you any longer," the Great Gardener said, then promptly departed.
Only Alka and the Flower Wand before him remained in the entire garden.
"To be safe, co to the Dream Realm and et ."
A serene and elegant voice, like an enchanting whisper, entered Alka's ears. Fortunately, Alka's spirit was exceptionally strong and not overly affected. He nodded.
He pondered for a mont. His physical body remained in the real world, while he sent his dream substitute into the current Dream Realm.
As the surroundings transford, Alka arrived in the Dream World. This ti, he appeared directly beside the enormous flower he had seen before.
The flower was in full bloom. Within its pistil, a beautiful and graceful maiden appeared, like a divine being. She was draped in a white, gossar scarf that emitted a soft light, her enchanting figure faintly visible beneath it. An exotic floral fragrance wafted through the Dream World, entering Alka's nostrils and rushing straight to his mind.
A pair of jade-like feet, delicate as lotus roots, dangled from one side of the petals, their weight pressing the soft petals into a gentle slant. Clad in semi-translucent white silk stockings, they swayed lightly. Faint pink hues adorned the white silk. Long, pinkish-white hair cascaded from her shoulders, conveniently veiling what lay beneath as she gazed at Alka before her.
"Hmm, do I perceive a newly ascended Dream Realm God?" Her tone carried a hint of teasing. Clearly, she had discerned Alka's special status within the Dream Realm.
Alka ignored her teasing and said directly, "Esteed Flower Fairy, how may I assist you?"
Seeing Alka disregard her playful remark, the Flower Fairy didn't seem to mind. Instead, she gracefully lifted one leg and crossed it over the other. Her crossed legs pressed together, hinting at their soft fullness as she swayed her delicate, jade-like foot.
"It's very simple. A task that only you can accomplish. In another region, at the place where the great tree stands, there is a location within its corresponding dream that holds a hidden Treasure."
