Shi nodded, her drowsy expression vanished. Standing on the construct, her eyes emitted a piercing blue light. The construct beneath her began to interface with her. Invisible fluctuations spread outwards. chanical devices at six locations scattered throughout the city also began to activate, spreading similar waves.
More Sentinel machines took to the air, attacking the monsters on the ground.
A squad of soldiers wearing tal Vine Armor was working together to besiege two tall, red-skinned monsters. This squad's strength was entirely at the Second Stage, and they were struggling significantly against the two monsters.
"Use your shields to hold them back! Don't let them advance!" the soldier acting as captain ordered, gripping his trident tightly before stabbing fiercely forward.
However, the attack only managed to leave a few bloody holes on the monster's body, inflicting no real harm. The monster punched forward.
A soldier holding a shield was sent staggering back by the blow. The searing pain in his arm forced him to grit his teeth and hold his ground.
The other monster clenched its fists, turned sideways, and slamd them forward. Two shield-bearing soldiers were instantly knocked to the ground, wailing in agony.
The soldiers attacking with tridents from the rear imdiately surged forward. They used their weapons, attempting to restrict the monster's movents and drag their comrades to safety.
At this mont, a figure rushed out from the nearby shadows. With a blood-stained sword in hand, she plunged it directly into the monster's throat. Leveraging her superior physique, she flipped onto the enemy's back, holding firm to the sword embedded in it. Her other sword hacked viciously at the back of its head.
The two swift attacks nearly severed the monster's head, leaving it dangling precariously. The huge creature imdiately collapsed.
The figure on its back, Lu, tried to disengage, but the other monster had already spotted her. A huge palm descended like a mountain.
A Spell Shield materialized around Lu, counteracting the giant palm.
"AAAAH!"
The monster's strength suddenly faltered. One of its eyes had been struck, and it howled incessantly, clutching its injured eye.
Seeing an opportunity, a nearby soldier imdiately thrust his trident toward the monster's joints, instantly immobilizing it.
A smaller figure leaped from the shadows. Twin Two-Browed Daggers flashed with red light, piercing straight through the back of the enemy's neck.
A death wail escaped it as the monster imdiately fell to the ground.
The figure who had dispatched the first monster was Lu, the largest mber of the Puppet Legion.
She stood up and said to the squad captain, "There are dozens of civilians over there. They need help."
"Yes, we'll head over imdiately! Thank you for your assistance." With that, the captain quickly organized his soldiers to carry the wounded and hurry in the direction Lu had indicated.
An invisible, ter-long, cone-shaped aircraft descended from the sky. Its appearance was very similar to a patrol ship. On the patrol ship stood a puppet from the remote attack squad, a construct puppet operating the machinery, and a mber providing Curse Technique support. This was a puppet squad tasked with clearing out nearby monsters.
"Eight hundred ters to your front right, two Second Stage monsters behind the flowers." Shi's voice instantly appeared in their minds as they regrouped.
Yi San imdiately slipped into the shadows, while Lu, carrying her twin swords, latched onto the aircraft. The three Puppet Girls on the aircraft expertly handled its controls, quickly following.
「...」
"Damn it, where the hell did these pipsqueaks co from?" a man in a blood-red robe angrily demanded, holding a huge Scepter.
The subordinate beside him was dressed similarly, though his robe was black and red.
Facing the man's furious questioning, the subordinate could only reply tremulously, "I don't know. We've never seen them before; they supposedly only arrived here in the last few days. Rumor has it they previously assisted the Church at Jade Fortress."
Upon hearing this, the furious man cald down slightly, frowning in thought.
"How much fear has been gathered?"
Hearing this, the subordinate hesitated, unsure how to respond.
"Speak!"
"Less than half."
"What!" The man's anger flared visibly, his body trembling slightly beneath his robe.
Seeing this, the reporting subordinate imdiately dropped to his knees.
"These reinforcents are too nurous. Those small-statured individuals, despite their size, all possess Third Stage strength. This has completely nullified our nurical advantage. The strength of this unexpected faction is too formidable."
The sounds of his ragged breathing filled the air. The reporting man could only shrink further to the ground, praying incessantly.
The man's heavy breathing gradually subsided as he managed to regain his composure.
"If there's any other intelligence, report it all."
"The enemy is fully aware of our operations in the city. Every ti we are on the verge of success, we are thwarted. There are several powerful, previously unseen enemies near the altar, and there's also a dragon. That location has the largest concentration of people, yet no fear at all has been gathered from there."
All bad news.

"Gather the Blood Slave Team. Bring them here."
The reporting man looked up, surprised. "What?"
"Didn't you hear what I said?" His voice was laced with impatience.
