"Found a good spot?" Alka asked, watching Jason walk into the hall.
Jason nodded. "These days, Ulu Liwus has been flying around outside and has already found several nice places."
Hearing this, Alka nodded.
Then, everyone packed their things and checked out of their rooms. They declined the innkeeper's attempts to persuade them to stay, thanking him for his kindness, and followed Jason out of the city. They had already decided to find a good spot outside to set up a temporary camp.
Though in terms of comfort, the inn was certainly better, it was, after all, located in the city. With so many people and prying eyes, and being rather conspicuous themselves, staying there was not conducive to their plans or certain activities. For instance, they planned to use this ti to train seriously. But training in such a densely populated city would be rather troubleso. After all, there were hardly any suitable places for them to train, although they could do so in the shared dream within the Dream Realm. However, for them, the Dream Realm was still not as direct as reality. No matter how much training they did there, it had to be consolidated in reality; this process would take less ti, certainly, but it still required so effort.
Moreover, when they ditated, the impact on the surrounding Magic Power fluctuations was quite significant; the imnse suction would continuously draw in the surrounding Magic Power. At sea, the range of this influence was likely limited to the imdiate vicinity of the Sound of Dawn, extending at most ten ters around the ship. At the very least, those on board could clearly feel when soone was ditating, and even distinctly sense when soone was making a breakthrough. On the open sea, within such a vast expanse, their minor influence, while certainly not hidden from those in close proximity, was less of a concern. After all, the sea was wide enough; if any living creature approached within ten ters of the Sound of Dawn and they failed to notice, they would truly need to reflect on their vigilance.
But in the city, an inn only covered so much area. When they ditated with a Magic Gathering Stone, the effect on the surroundings was quite attention-grabbing, especially when the Stone drew in Magic Power. Furthermore, this was the Land of Fragrance, the Land of the Revived Flower Immortal, considered the power center of the entire Land of All Spirits. If they started ditating here, it could potentially draw the attention of the whole city. After all, how could such a large-scale gathering of Magic Power go unnoticed? This was why, during their ti in the city, they had to take turns ditating: one person would go outside the city, ditate, then return so another could take their place.
Riding on the Swallow, they saw the Crystal Dragon flying over their heads, heading forward. Their vessel quickly reached the place where the Crystal Dragon had stopped. It was a forest, but the trees weren't tall, different from those they had seen before. Their overall height was only about seven or eight ters, yet the characteristic dense, intertwined canopies remained.
Parking the Swallow outside, they peered inside. What they found was not what they expected; it was like an ideal, natural campsite. Inside was a small cluster of large rocks protruding from the water, their surfaces appearing sowhat flat. This grove of trees grew around the rocks, forming a perfect circle with a clearing where the rocks lay. Within the clearing were piles of dried grass and branches, evidently prepared beforehand. These dried materials were also covered with a thin layer of fine crystal fragnts. Clearly, the Crystal Dragon had rested here when it was outside the city.
They carefully waded through a shallow stretch of water and climbed onto the rocks to survey the surroundings.
"This place is indeed nice."
"Alright, everyone, clean up and let's get this place in order."
Everyone nodded and set to work. Soon, the moss on the rocks was cleared away, the surface dried, and any uneven protrusions were smoothed down, transforming it into a dry platform.
Simon stretched out his hand and began to manipulate tal, creating fixtures to secure the area around them. Julia used special Spells, controlling the growth of vines already wrapped around nearby branches. She changed their growth direction, making them gradually weave around their camp, intertwining with the tal structures Simon had created. In a mont, they had constructed a semi-circular wall that extended and wrapped around them, leaving an opening at the front. The roof was ford from branches and dried grass, reinforced with tal supports. A simple yet completely livable camp was thus built.
Alka took out the Magic Gathering Stone and began to activate it experintally. He wasn't sure if it was his imagination, but sothing seed a little off about this place. Not in a dangerous way, but there was a peculiar feeling. As the Magic Gathering Stone activated, Magic Power began to converge. Alka sat beneath it, trying to discern any differences in the Magic Power converging around him. After a while, he nodded.
"This is actually a node, a node of the Magic Veins."
Hearing this, Jason looked at Ulu Liwus, who was lying nearby.
"BUJI."
"She said she found this place by feeling," Jason relayed.
"So it's a kind of innate talent," Alka mused. This was naturally a good thing for them, as it could slightly speed up their ditation, and the location wasn't far from the Land of Fragrance.
