It wasn't until the sky was draped with the curtain of starlight that Simon finally returned to the inn.
"Hm? It's just the three of you? Where are the others?"
As soon as he walked in, Simon only saw Alka and the other two, who seed to be casually chatting about sothing. He looked around but didn't see any sign of the others.
"It's free ti now, of course everyone's off doing what they like. Gemini Island isn't exactly small," Alka replied nonchalantly.
Although everyone was a companion, generally speaking, aside from being at sea or during dangerous operations, they wouldn't go out of their way to always stick together.
Simon nodded and said nothing more. He ca over to the table and sat down, producing a large stack of docunts from his hand and placing them directly on top.
Chadite and Lucilia picked up those docunts and took a quick look through them.
"Star Summoning Ceremony?" Chadite read the docunt in his hand, asking with a hint of doubt.
These docunts were all about stars and the starry sky. Most of them were spells—their origins and branches, as well as descriptions of so large-scale rituals.
The stars were more related to divination—various divination theories, almost all inseparable from the motif of stars.
"Fallen Star Gemstone." As Simon spoke, a fist-sized blue-black gemstone appeared in his hand, its shape irregular and angular.
In the dimly lit room, it was easy to see the gemstone's starlight gleaming faintly with a yellow hue within it.
Just like the twinkling stars in the sky.
Simon then took out so teorite iron and other materials—gathered from the aftermath of falling teors—from his Pocket Ring.
"These are all the star-related materials I could collect. See if it's enough."
Alka looked at the pile of materials and nodded directly.
"It's more than enough."
Chadite leafed through the information in his hand, then turned to Alka and asked, "So what kind of equipnt vessel are you planning to construct to carry this Divine Essence?"
This question actually stumped Alka a bit. It wasn't that he hadn't thought about it, but that he couldn't quite figure out what kind of vessel would best suit the purpose.
He'd originally decided to go through all the information first, then decide based on the available materials.
But now, with so many materials, there was really no need to worry; as long as the equipnt wasn't too extravagant, everything was sufficient.
So now he needed to think carefully about it.
"How about making this?"
Lucilia placed so information in front of everyone as she spoke.
Simon glanced at it and imdiately knew what she ant, while Alka and Chadite both examined it carefully.
The docunts described a very ancient thod of divination—but ancient didn't an primitive, for this world's ancient era featured an incredibly grand civilization of the gods.
Much more prosperous than the civilizations barely scraping by in this shattered world today.
And this particular divination thod was passed down from that era.
Pictured on it was card after card—
Every card bore a different emblem and image, but it was clear that they were all linked to the legendary heroic deities of the ti.
For they could clearly see the Sea God's symbol.
"A classic Astrology Card. The making of each card requires star, moon, sun, and other mystical materials and rituals—plus, they're still cards,"
said Lucilia.
Even Simon and Chadite next to her nodded subconsciously in agreent.
The more you thought about it, the more it did seem perfect for Alka.
It truly was a near-perfect suggestion, especially since Alka was very experienced in crafting cards of all kinds.
She finished and looked up at Alka.
Yet what they saw wasn't satisfaction or excitent, but Alka frowning and shaking his head.
"No, it can't be that the."
"Why?" Simon couldn't help but ask in puzzlent.
To him, it seed absolutely fitting for Alka.
Alka's fundantal identity was, after all, that of a Magician. Even in everyday life aboard the ship, Alka would practice little tricks and play at flying cards.
Of course, it was more for amusent—during combat, such things had little practical use anymore.
Most of Alka's fighting thods now didn't rely on cards as vessels at all.
Mostly he just crafted mirrors into thin cards for maintaining the old habits; even if the mirrors were replaced by blades or other shapes, it wouldn't really matter.
Facing the puzzled stares of the trio, Alka shook his head and sighed, "I don't know, I just can't seem to put the feeling into words. But making it as a card just doesn't seem right. Or rather, you don't need to consider my user experience that much."
This was an intuition arising in Alka's heart—and the source of it was very clear. It ca from the last line the Flower Fairy left him during their information exchange.
It was because of that line that he developed this premonition.
He himself was actually quite pleased with Lucilia's proposal, and if he could, he would have loved to go with it.
The other three heard Alka's words, mulled over them with furrowed brows, and said nothing more.
Every intuition is important.
"So what kind of form do you plan to give it?"
Alka thought for a mont and offered his idea: "It's best to make it simple—sothing common and practical."
The other three nodded in agreent; sothing ordinary, not strange or outlandish, was best.
"A ring?"
"A bracelet?"
"A necklace?"
They each started suggesting ideas, one after another.
The main thing was that the core material needed to be the Gemstone from the teorite, and at a glance, such a Gemstone naturally brought to mind all sorts of jewelry and ornants.
