Sigh...

I get sent out of Jeophrey’s tent in the end.

A sha.

But I already foresaw this outco.

I never actually expected him to agree to such an abrupt and ridiculous request.

After all, a B Grade Armant is extrely rare in this world. I have only seen Kalakuta wield one, and I suppose it would defeat the purpose if a random Freedom Fighter like also gains access to said weapon.

Although Kalakuta strives for equality, it’s no secret that he is the central figure of the Freedom Fighters.

His physique and incredible combat skills are one thing, but having the strongest Armant around also contributes to his terrifying battle prowess.

And that in turn elevates his image among his followers.

Yes, Kalakuta is compassionate and wise.

He is a man with a grand vision.

But who in this world doesn’t respect strength?

After my rather unique experience with the Fabricant, I t up with both Kamal and eventually Garett. They both made sure to take sufficient ti to laugh at my crushing defeat at Jeophrey’s hands, but I have thick skin.

I can take sothing like this easily.

It seems forming a close relationship with the Fabricant will take ti, but I can’t rush things beyond this extent.

Not only would it be too suspicious, but it could also lead to the opposite effect.

I do not wish for Jeophrey to despise .

*****

An entire week has passed since I joined the Freedom Fighters. That is, two weeks since our capture at the hands of Kalakuta’s forces.

Not a lot has happened during this period.

But sothing interesting will be occurring today, and it has to do with two nad characters in this Trial Scenario.

Tyrrion and Enrydral.

I’m finally allowed to et with them!

The three of us were separated when we first arrived here. I don’t even know their quarters, so I’ll have to be escorted there.

But I have heard, ever since I officially beca a Freedom Fighter, that the two were finally allowed to et each other.

I guess it was only a matter of ti before I would be added to the mix.

"Okay, I’m ready. Let’s go."

I leave my quarters and follow two warriors who seem to have been waiting outside my room for quite so ti.

They nod at my words, their stern expressions unyielding as we begin to walk together.

I know their unfriendly deanor isn’t due to my punctuality, since I left my room on ti. I guess it could be because, despite the implied equality among Freedom Fighters, I have been granted so special privileges.

One of those is the room which I currently occupy.

Kalakuta strictly believes in ritocracy, and many of these Freedom Fighters have had to prove themselves.

This is especially true for the newer mbers, since they would have to display competence to stand out in Kalakuta’s ever-expanding army of seasoned fighters.

Soone like , who has yet to prove himself, suddenly getting a private and luxurious suite to himself might seem unfair to so of these people.

I can understand their frustrations, but I don’t intend to change anything about my situation.

Why should I?

The comfort I enjoy isn’t sothing to forfeit simply due to the dissatisfaction of others whom I do not care much for.

We are all colleagues, certainly.

But I do not treat everyone the sa. Thus, I do not value their opinions equally.

Unless Kalakuta himself steps up... i will not budge from my position or request a transfer.

Besides, I know my worth.

Soon, they will too.

It doesn’t take very long before we arrive at my desired destination. The warriors wave farewell and leave standing right in the middle of opposing doors in the hallway.

Tyrrion’s room is to the left, while Enrydral’s room is to the right.

’Alright...’ I purse my lips and smile to myself, even heaving a sigh of relief.

’Everything has been stabilized now. I guess I just have to convince these two to also renounce their loyalty to the Empire and fully support Kalakuta’s cause.’

********

"Sure. I’ll support it."

Tyrrion doesn’t even wait for to finish explaining the reasons before he completely switches sides.

Even Enrydral is taken aback by this sudden switch.

’All I did was present our current situation to him. I haven’t even spoken about Kalakuta’s ideals yet, and he already folded...’ A wry smile forms on my face as I stare at the stout dwarf.

What a guy!

He actually held no loyalty to the Empire.

"Don’t give that look..." Noticing my fixation on him, he gives a dissatisfied grunt and sighs deeply.

"Our circumstances place us at the rcy of these Freedom Fighters. It’s only right that we adapt to reality. As long as doing so doesn’t stop my work, I’m fine with that."

I nod at his words.

This is true.

A wise person submits to circumstance.

"Yeah, the goal hasn’t changed. In fact, the Great Bridgeworks will greatly benefit Kalaluta’s cause, so I imagine he will be very interested in its construction and completion."

After speaking to Tyrrion, I turn to Enrydral, who still hasn’t made up his mind.

"What about you? What do you say?"

The mont my gaze reaches him, he simply sighs and shrugs helplessly.

"Master has chosen this path. As his disciple, can I really go towards any other direction? Of course, I’ll also be loyal to and support the Freedom Fighters."

Tyrrion has always been a recluse obsessed with his work, but Enrydral had so sort of relationship with the Emperor, so his words carry more weight.

But I can understand where he is coming from.

This isn’t a decision he made easily.

"Good. We will build The Great Bridgeworks with the aid of the Freedom Fighters. Both of you will direct this process, and since you are a part of the Freedom Fighters, you will be well-protected by then."

Kalakuta already gave this assurance, so I’m not speaking out of my ass.

Since I believe the ultimate goal of this Trial Scenario is tied to the construction of the Great Bridgeworks, it won’t matter if it is done by the Freedom Fighters or the Great Nations.

I just have to make it work sohow.

"Hmph! When do we start?"

Tyrrion doesn’t even pretend to care about the politics and wishes to delve into the action imdiately.

I can see many similarities between him and Jeophrey. Geniuses are often eccentric individuals, but the opposite isn’t always true.

There are also exceptions like Enrydral.

I guess I can tolerate Tyrrion a little better now that I have arrived at this realization.

"By the way, did you learn about how Kalaluta knew about our route? I’ve been thinking about it for so ti now and I believe we might have had a spy among us!" Enrydral speaks up, suddenly reminding of sothing else I should have ntioned to them.

’Oh, yes. I only addressed the spy matter in my previous try before regression. Neither Tyrrion or Enrydral rember the conversation.’ I smile wryly, explaining my thought process to them again.

In the end, we all conclude that the likely culprit is one of the Knights in the Sanctuary.

He is, after all, the Captain’s relative.

"Kalakuta doesn’t know the identity of the spy, since their ssages were anonymous. But based on the timing at which he received them, we can speculate that it’s him."

"I agree."

"...."

After we address that matter and talk about a few things, I finally leave both n alone and return to my quarters.

However, just as I arrive, the two warriors from before approach once more.

I can see that their expressions appear even more foul. I take a mont to wonder what the cause could be this ti around.

It doesn’t take long for to realize it once they open their lips.

"Kalakuta extends an invitation to you regarding the War Council eting. It isn’t a mandatory request, but he wishes for your attendance." They tell .

’Oh? So they’re upset about that.’

Once again, I can’t bla them. After all, only a select few Freedom Fighters participate in the War Council eting.

For a newcor to get such a privilege... it must be quite vexing for them.

However, I don’t care about their feelings.

Instead, my mood is quite good.

’Hehe! It’s about ti...’

A broad smile forms on my face as my eyes twinkle in excitent.

’We’re about to go to war!’
