Haden’s grip tightened around the shaft of his spear, and he turned towards the voice.

His furious gaze landed on The Remnant, who were using the body of a man wearing dark armour.

Haden knew that body very well; it was the sa body that The Remnant used after losing their sanity.

He didn’t know whose body it was, but the strength of that corpse alone was enough for him to guess how strong that person would’ve been during his living days.

The ground shook as his aura hit them, and he asked, "What have you done to my son?"

A viciously cruel grin appeared on their face, and they broke into a laughter that shook the mountains.

Fwoomf!

Ghostly purple flas flooded out of them, and they muttered, "It is of no use, descendant of war. Thou shalt gain no answers from ."

The air scread, and the cracks appeared on the ground as Haden’s aura and The Remnant’s purple fla clashed with one another.

Haden stepped forward and appeared before them.

They threw a punch at him. He dodged and landed a punch on their abdon.

A loud bang echoed throughout the mountains as Haden’s first struck them, cracks appeared on their dark armour, and they were sent flying.

They streaked through multiple mountains, and multiple trees were uprooted just from the impact.

A huge crater appeared on their landing spot, and they rolled on the ground for a few monts before they finally ca to a stop.

Ghostly purple flas blazed around their body, and all of the dirt clinging to them disappeared.

Sounds of cracking bones ca out of them as their body fixed themselves.

A few monts later, they finally opened their eyes.

Their gaze fell on an enormous eastern dragon coming towards them, and in the maw of the dragon was Haden.

Fwoomf!

The ghostly purple flas poured out of them and took the form of chains.

The chains shot towards Haden.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Haden descended towards them like a teor and dodged the purple chains coming towards him.

The chains went past him and began to wrap around the eastern dragon that was encasing him.

Haden suddenly felt his aura drain drastically. He looked at the purple chains and mumbled, "These chains are eating at my aura."

At the sa ti, dark purple miasma began to swirl around The Remnant’s palm, and they clenched their fist.

The miasma spread out before it surged inside them.

Their skin rippled and began to darken, and purple veins began to bulge all around their body.

They clenched their fists, and a dark katana appeared in their hand.

They swung the katana and t Haden’s spear head-on.

A deafening explosion burst from the clash of their weapons, sending tremors through the mountains and crushing the land around them.

The Remnant slid backwards, and Haden took a few steps back before he disappeared and appeared before them once again.

Air around his spear cried as Haden thrust at them, and their katana cut through the air as they blocked his spear.

Sparks erupted as they exchanged attacks with one another.

Suddenly, the purple fla began to coil around their katana, and they swung wildly.

Purple slashes shot from their katana. Haden parried the incoming slashes and followed them.

As soon as the slashes landed, the ground lost its vigour and turned barren.

A heavy amount of aura coiled around Haden’s spear, and he thrust forward.

The Remnant blocked his attack and muttered, "What is amiss, descendant of war? Why dost thou hold back?"

He didn’t reply and swung his spear at him.

They blocked, but suddenly the spear twisted to the side and shot towards their shoulder.

The spear struck their shoulder, and their shoulder exploded into bits, but instead of stopping, they stepped forward and slashed at him more erratically.

Haden blocked, and suddenly a purple chain shot towards him; he blocked the chain with a shield of aura.

The chain struck the shield, dug into it and suddenly cracks appeared all over the shield.

Haden furrowed his brows, instantly stepped before them and thrust his spear towards their head.

Purple flas engulfed their katan, and they struck his spear to the side before swinging down the sword at him with the weight of the world behind it.

But just as it was about to touch Haden’s shoulder, a tidal wave of red aura flooded out of Haden and struck them like a battering ram pushed by so giant.

They were thrown off their feet and rolled down on the ground.

Red aura began to swirl around the tip of Haden’s spear, and he thrust at them.

AZURE ASCENDING SPEAR — SERPENT’S BITE!

The aura twisted into the form of a serpent’s maw and lunged at them.

Air scread as Haden’s spear shot towards them.

They looked at it, and the purple flas blazing around them took the form of a chain.

The chains shot forward and wrapped around the serpent’s maw.

Haden slowed down, and The Remnant swung at them.

A thunderous roar shook the ground as their weapons t each other.

Both of them slid backwards, and they dashed forward with purple flas and red aura flas blazing around their weapons.

The ground shook, and the sky trembled as the two fought without a stop, and Haden asked, "Why are you doing this?"

The Remnant’s eerie grin vanished, and they muttered, "I am rely fulfilling my duty."

Haden swung at them; they parried and swung at him.

Haden blocked and said, "How are you fulfilling your duty by killing the children of your Father?"

The Remnant’s eyes went cold, and they spat, "Father? Do not amuse , descendant of war. That man did nought but take our mother from us... and children? The Dhaevrak are nothing more than gatekeepers to the true child."

Haden furrowed his brows and muttered, "Don’t tell that a being as ancient as you believes in that cursed prophecy."

His aura surged at the tip of his spear, and he swung at them. They flowed their ghostly purple flas at the edge of their katana, and their weapons t once again.

Haden slid backwards, and The Remnant took a few steps back.

They pointed their katana at them and declared, "Believe? I was the one who enlightened others about it."
