Rion took the dragon’s fang from Marin and stared at it with a curious gleam in his eyes.

’Is it from the dragon that father had killed while fighting the dark king?’ He wondered.

He turned to Marin and asked, "Why is it so small?"

The fang was as big as his index finger, but according to what the tribe mbers told him during his younger days, the dragon was big enough to shield the mountains from the sun.

Marin chuckled and answered, "It’s a fang carved out from an actual dragon’s fang."

"Oh?" Rion raised an eyebrow and mumbled, "It looks like a real fang."

"I am honoured to know that," Marin comnted with a smile.

"Vice Lord, you are the one who carved them?" Kara asked with a tilted head, and Marin nodded in answer.

Rion’s grip tightened around the dragon’s fang, his gaze shifted towards the sun that was about to dip below the horizon, and he said, "Let us return to the tribe; we have yet to prepare for tomorrow’s feast."

Everyone nodded to his words, and they began to walk towards the Redwood Den.

A faint smile hung on Rion’s lips as he fidgeted with the dragon’s fang, and he mumbled in his head, ’Inventory.’

The inventory screen flickered before his eyes, and in the seventh slot of it was a dark crystal with purple and white vines all over it.

He focused on it, and another tab appeared beside the inventory.

————

Demonic Heart

Description: A heart created by a mother for her son.

Effect: Generate demonic energy.

Assimilation Requirent: One of the seven Singularities.

————

Rion frowned in thought, ’One of the seven Singularities? What are Singularities?’

His steps and thoughts continued, ’Demonic energy... is it like the aura or ether used by demons?’

Rion didn’t know and he didn’t have enough knowledge to co to a sound conclusion.

He shook his head and thought over the questions that he still needed the answers to.

’Who are ’them’ that father talked about? They are probably the ones that trapped us in the red and black mountains, but why?’

A sudden thought appeared in his head.

’Zaelyane also wants revenge against sobody... are they the sa?’

Just as he stopped thinking about that, another question appeared in his head.

’Who are The Judge, The Monarch, The Mothers and The Great One?’

His expressions darkened with each unanswered question as anxiety began to build up, but he still had more of them.

’Why did The Remnant refuse to tell about The Monarch?’

Another question ca right after he stopped thinking about that one.

’Who or what was that humanoid monster I had encountered, and why did it affect my bloodline? What was that place?’

’What was that red moon? If one could call it a moon...’

’What caused the system to malfunction?’

’Was that chain actually The Remnant? Is sothing like that even possible?’

As he descended into the endless spiral of questions, Marin’s voice fell into his ears and pulled him out of his thoughts.

"What’s wrong?"

Rion blinked and took a deep breath.

He looked at Marin and answered with a forced, gentle smile, "Nothing..."

An amused expression appeared on Marin’s face, and he mumbled with his lips arching upwards, "Are you sure?"

Rion frowned and spoke with a puzzled expression, "Yeah?"

Marin nodded and said sarcastically, "Then I must have been mistaken about your hut being in the southeastern end of the den instead of the central part."

Rion stopped in his tracks and looked around with a surprised expression.

Everyone except him and Marin had already left, and he was about to reach Marin’s hut.

’When did I enter the Redwood Den?’ He asked himself.

Marin watched him in amusent and spoke in a gentle voice, "Because of your monstrous strength, I tend to forget that you are still a sixteen-year-old... I know all of this is weighing down on you, and greatly ashad that there isn’t anything I can do to help you..."

Rion looked into Marin’s eyes and saw the genuine sense of sha and hopelessness in them; he could also feel how much Marin was bothered by it.

A bright smile appeared on his face, and he stated, "It’s fine."

Marin forced out a smile and gave Rion a nod before he turned around and left.

Rion watched him leave, and his departing words reached his ears.

"When are you going to learn the outside language from ?"

Rion scratched his cheek and answered sheepishly, "When all of this is over!"

Marin didn’t turn to look at him; all he did was nod and continue his steps.

A few monts passed, and Rion walked towards his hut.

The night’s cold brushed his chiselled muscles as he reminisced about his younger days.

"I didn’t have so many questions back then..."

He sighed deeply, and a few monts later, he reached his hut.

Suddenly, a frown appeared on his face upon seeing that the door to his hut was open.

He let his will flow freely and activated his Zone.

"Hmm?" His frown deepened even further after finding out who was in his hut.

He stepped inside, looked at the intruder and asked, "What are you doing here, Dora?"

Dora, who was lying on his bed, smiled and said, "What are you talking about? Didn’t you confess your love to in the morning?"

He froze, slightly lowered his head and said softly, "I didn’t an it this way..."

She let out a hearty chuckle and said, "I know you didn’t an it this way, and I am not asking you to... bed either, I just want to sleep with you. You should be fine with that, right?"

Rion stayed silent.

A few minutes passed as he finally answered, "I don’t know if I’d be able to control myself..."

Rion was still a teenager, he didn’t have any experience with won in his previous life either, and even though he had complete control over his body, he wasn’t a saint who had taken the vow of chastity.

Hearing him, Dora’s face turned red, and she suggested in a voice that sounded shy, "What if you help move my bed here?"

Her thoughts, however, were quite different.

’Calm down, Dora! You can’t force him yet!’

Unaware of her dangerous thoughts, Rion blinked a few tis and stated with a beautiful grin, "Sure."
