A few days went by like a blur; during that ti, new training thods and regis were introduced for every warrior of the Redwood Den.
All the squad mbers or leaders who used either weapons or combat skills similar to those of a group leader were placed under that group leader’s tutelage, while those who didn’t were trained by the forr hunters.
Rion also introduced the boulder lifting training that he had forced Yuura and others to do because it had proved to be very useful.
Arok had begun forging weapons and armour for all of the warriors while the craftsn under him built more huts and other structures.
The gatherers began to collect the herbs required to concoct various dicines that would prove useful, and Zaelyane concocted them, allowing the warriors to train better and for longer.
Rion also taught Karhun the fist aura technique that he had created by replicating Grathar’s aura technique.
Yuura was training under Rheak to learn his stealth art, Tarun was training under Drokan, and Dora was training under Jura to further improve herself.
At the sa ti, Rion was improving himself.
First, he was trying to better his control over all of his abilities and skills, such as Heaven’s Vector, Beast Fangs, The Zone, Weapon Sense and his bloodline ability that he called Absolute Will for now.
He was doing so because Haden had told him to. His exact words were: "You know a lot of techniques, but you don’t have full control over all of them, I can’t teach you the Azure Ascending spear until you have flawless control over them."
Rion agreed to it; he only used the skills and techniques when he felt their need, which he simply never did because of his immortal body and aura.
To train them, he did the following:
Threw his spear countless tis using Heaven’s Vector and called it back using Master’s Call.
Hunted beasts with just the Beast Fangs, no weapons and no aura.
Unfolded his Zone as much as possible, then made it as compact as possible.
Used Weapon Sense while not focusing on the battle.
The results were nearly instantaneous.
He was now able to throw his spear multiple tis within a single mont. He was able to make use of Beast Fangs in his combat style. His control over The Zone had beco so precise that he no longer needed to turn it off because of the useless information, and Weapon Sense no longer turned him blind to the world.
But even then, he continued to train them.
He had beco better, yes, but if he wanted to defeat The Remnant, he had to be the best... and for that, he was ready to do anything.
So he chose the most efficient thod: he sparred furiously with the group leaders; he didn’t use his aura but commanded them to use theirs.
At the beginning, they had thought that he had gone mad, but after seeing his wounds heal within monts, they also stopped holding back and attacked as brutally as they could just to see how much they could push him.
At the mont, Rion lay at the centre of a clearing, if it could still be called one.
The whole of the clearing was devastated by the group leaders’ attacks, and dried blood painted the whole of Rion’s body.
A few monts later, he lifted his hand, planted it on the devastated ground and pushed himself up.
"He stood up again..." Kara comnted, disbelief flickering in his eyes.
Rion stared at Zoka and spoke evenly, "Co."
Zoka grinned, dashed towards him, and aura flas burst out around his battle axe.
He swung the axe at him. Rion twisted his body and mumbled in his head, ’I can block this.’
The axe struck him, and nothing happened.
Rion stood unfazed as the axe failed to even graze him.
Seeing that, Zoka burst into laughter and remarked, "You did it again, huh! Your bloodline is really sothing."
Rion nodded. Looked at his hand, clenched it and muttered in disappointnt, "It’s not enough."
He looked at Zoka and ordered, "Again."
Zoka nodded, and the spar began once again.
As they fought, Rion blocked most of his attacks using Absolute Will, but he wasn’t able to block all of them; so of his attacks simply seed impossible to stop without using the aura.
He was trying to let go of that thought, but it was easier said than done.
A few more days passed as Rion continued the spar, but no matter how much he tried, his control over Absolute Will didn’t increase any further.
But he didn’t give up, he persevered.
From then on, all he did was fight and eat like a glutton, and before he even knew it, a month went by.
Just as the sun peeked out of the horizon, Rion’s eyes flickered open, he slowly sat up in his bed, and his gaze shifted towards Dora, who was sleeping in her bed, a blanket of dark wolf fur covering her.
He stepped down from his bed, and the floor creaked loudly as he stood up.
Due to his continuous spars with the group leaders, his body had to adapt countless tis, and while doing so, he had co to look like he was in his twenties instead of his teens.
Rion accepted the changes with open arms as he looked quite handso, at least that was what his mother and Dora had told him.
He walked over to Dora’s bed, caressed Dora’s head and mumbled softly, "Good morning."
Dora’s eyelids lifted slightly, and she mumbled in a voice heavy with sleep, "Good... morning..."
Rion chuckled, softly cupped her face and kissed her.
Her arms locked him like that for a few monts before she let go, her face red, and she mumbled with a beautiful smile, "That’s better..."
He booped her nose and whispered in her ear, "It is indeed."
"Hehe!" She giggled.
He walked back to his bed, picked up his clothes, wore them and stepped out of the hut.
Just as he took a few steps, Haden’s voice echoed inside his head,
Rion frowned, turned his head towards the southern peak and replied,
