Just as Rion let out the aura wave, the aura ring revolving around the centre of his heart faltered slightly.

The demonic energy that had been trapped within the ring flooded outwards, and the centre and left portion of his chest began to turn purple.

’Shit!’ He cursed inwardly and imdiately tried to fix the aura ring, but even then, half of his upper body had already turned purple.

’I can’t let anyone see this,’ he mumbled inwardly and before any tribe mber could see the purple veins bulging across his chest, he forced his aura into his feet and left the site.

For most who were weaker than him, it appeared as if he had simply disappeared from his position.

Rion left the site and stopped near a boulder.

His gaze fell on the purple veins, shaking his head in frustration, he sat by the boulder and began to stabilise the aura ring.

Just like how he had forced Immortal Body to a halt with Absolute Will, he tried the sa with demonic energy; however, the demonic energy was different from the simple life energy, it was chaotic and had more than one concept within itself, because of which the Absolute Will, which was still incomplete, was unable to affect the demonic energy.

Rion clicked his tongue and went with what he had done before.

"I knew this would happen."

Even then, as a warrior, the showcase of power was a necessity for him to gain a respectful command over his people — even though Haden was the one who should have done it, he didn’t yet have the capabilities for it.

For Rion, this was his second life. In his first, he had read of both great kings and monstrous tyrants. Yet the difference between them had never been the amount of power they wielded nor the blood they spilt — but what they chose to reinforce.

Great kings built kingdoms that could stand without them. Evil kings left only ruins that fell the mont their hands were gone.

What Haden had was strength and a talent for war and battle, but what Rion had was knowledge that he could use to reform the Dhaevrak tribe beyond what they were... the only thing that he lacked was knowledge of this world.

And that was why his journey to the elves was important.

The incoming journey wouldn’t just be to get Dora cured but also to build fruitful connections, gain allies, knowledge, strength and beyond everything — answers.

Rion finished stabilising the aura ring around his heart. A warm breath escaped his lips, and all of a sudden, his eyes shone in delight, his head twisted in the direction of Zaelyane’s hut, and he whispered, "Dora..."

He shot to his feet and rushed towards her with a wide grin stretched across his face.

A golden light streaked through the forest, uprooting the trees and crushing the rocks in his path and just a mont later, he reached Zaelyane’s hut.

He stopped at the door and stood staring at it for a few monts before he pulled it open and stepped inside.

Just as he stepped inside, a weak groan reached his ears, and Rion instantly appeared beside Dora.

"Don’t force yourself," he mumbled with a worried look.

Dora’s trembling eyelids finally fluttered open, and her weak gaze fell onto Rion.

Seeing him so near to her face, she whispered in confusion, "...Rion?"

He flashed her a smile and answered while rubbing her left arm, "Yep, it’s ."

Dora blinked once, then twice, before looking around. After not finding the hut familiar, she asked, "Where...?"

He moved aside the hair that was sticking to her face and answered softly, "We are in the doctor’s hut."

"Oh..." she whispered, and he asked while masking his troubled expression with a faint smile, "How are you feeling...?"

She didn’t answer right away.

Monts passed and turned into minutes before she spoke in a sowhat confused manner, "Why can’t I feel my aura...?"

Rion’s smile faltered for one tenth of a mont before he forced it back and explained, "Do you rember the prophecy?"

Just as those words reached Dora’s ears, her ears widened, and her gaze shifted towards him.

He frowned upon seeing the troubled expression on her face, and he asked, "What’s—"

However, before he could even ask a comprehensible question, tears stread down Dora’s face, and she sobbed, "I... I am sniff...sniff... sorry for... hiding it from you!"

Confusion covered Rion’s face, his hands imdiately began to wipe her tears, and he asked, "I understand why you didn’t want to tell sothing like this."

’But just cause I understand doesn’t an I am okay with it...’ he didn’t voice this because he felt it wasn’t the right mont.

Dora continued to sob for a few more minutes, and Rion cald her.

Once she was sowhat calm and her arms were wrapped around Rion’s right arm, she stated with sparkling eyes, "I want this year to be my best, I want to do everything... I also want to have your child!"

He chuckled and comnted, "Why just this year? You can have more, you know?"

She looked at him with a dumbfounded face. Shaking her head, she responded, "According to the prophecy, I am to die at the age of twenty and right now, I am nineteen."

He frowned. "What are you talking about?"

Dora frowned as well. "Don’t you already know this...?"

He violently shook his head and said, "Granny Nena didn’t say anything like that... she only told that you were to die as soon as the prophecy was complete."

Dora’s eyes widened in shock and horror, her arms tightened around Rion’s in desperation, and she mumbled, tears once again gathering at the edge of her eyes, "W-What?!"

Rion’s expression darkened upon seeing her react in such a manner, and he asked in a chillingly low voice, "What did Nena tell you?"

For the next few minutes, Dora told Rion everything that Nena had told her and after she finished explaining, Rion’s or Zaelyane’s chair lost one of its armrests.
