Three days later.

Rion, Zaelyane, and Yuura walked through the streets of the Ironclaw city and headed to the next city.

Civilians and carriages went past them.

"Did you find anything useful in these past three days?" Zaelyane asked with a flat expression as if the answer didn’t matter.

Rion shook his head and mumbled, "Nothing, it appears even though the civil war has been going on for three decades, it hasn’t reached the bordering lands, which is a good thing."

"Wouldn’t it be better if we went straight to the capital?" Yuura suggested with a thoughtful expression.

Rion nodded and said, "It would be better, but we won’t have enough information about the Kingdom’s current state."

"Can’t we just ask soone there...?" Yuura asked with a puzzled expression.

"We can," he nodded. "But it would be much easier if we saw things by ourselves."

Soon, the chatter of the civilians and the noise of the carriages around them disappeared as they left the city behind them.

Rion set his Zone towards the next city instead of allowing it to flow freely to teleport there once it reached the city.

Because the Zone was straight and in a single direction rather than spreading all around him, after ten minutes it reached the city.

He stopped in his steps and offered his hands to both of them.

Zaelyane and Yuura also stopped, and she mumbled, "Doesn’t it take a toll on your mind?"

Rion nodded. "It does if I use it for a long distance."

"If it causes you trouble, we can just walk to the next city, my liege," Yuura muttered with flas blazing in his eyes.

Rion chuckled. "It’s not much of an issue. The toll is near negligible."

"If you say so..." they murmured at the sa ti as they placed their hands in his, and Rion used Zone Relocation.

They vanished from their spot and appeared in Stoneraven City, which was fifteen kiloters away from Ironclaw City.

They appeared at a secluded spot, and just as he set foot on the ground, his Zone spread, covering a radius of seven kiloters without him having to force it beyond.

Similar to the previous city, he listened to the banter of the civilians, and as he had expected, the people here were a bit tenser than those of Ironclaw city.

’We are only thirty kiloters in and the environnt is already way more tense than before,’ Rion noted in his head, and felt a strange feeling in his heart.

His expression turned into sothing between terror and confusion as he looked around without a goal.

He couldn’t understand what was wrong.

Seeing him act strangely, Yuura stepped closer and asked worriedly, "My liege, are you fine?"

Rion looked at Yuura and thought, ’Why do I feel like sothing’s strange?’

As he finished his thought, another appeared in his mind, and his eyes widened in disbelief.

He waved his hand before himself as if trying to touch screens he couldn’t see and mumbled in his head, ’Why is the system not activating...?’

"My liege?" Yuura repeated grimly.

His voice pulled Rion out of his reverie. He looked at Yuura and answered, "I am fine."

"Are you really fine?" He asked again just to be sure.

Rion nodded. "Yes, I am."

After saying so, Rion walked out of the shadows and remarked inwardly, ’There is no sign in location here...’

This had never happened before; no matter where he went, there was at least one sign in location.

That had been true before, as, for so odd reason, Stoneraven City didn’t even have a single one.

Still unable to understand why the system was behaving in such a way, Rion pushed away his thoughts and said, "Let’s go."

For the next four weeks, they gathered information about the war, moved to the next city, and repeated the sa there until they reached the capital of the Leonara Kingdom.

The closer they got to the capital, the gloomier the people grew and the worse the living conditions beca.

At the sa ti, another thought was plaguing his mind: the system wasn’t working.

He had changed five cities, two towns, and multiple villages, but the system never asked him to sign in at any of them... it was as if the Kingdom’s land wasn’t worth signing in for.

However, Leonara was much stronger than the Bulorka Kingdom, yet none of the Bulorka’s lands were deed unworthy by the system.

’Is it glitching or sothing?’ He wondered, and to prove him wrong, a blue screen appeared before him.

[Ding! Sign in at ?]

[Ding! Sign in at ?]

’Huh?’ Rion blinked a few tis before he heaved a sigh of relief and mumbled with a baffled expression, "Are you trying to prank or sothing?"

’Yes,’ he commanded the system.

[You have signed in at !]

[You have obtained the key to the moon chamber!]

[Ding! Lucky spin is in effect!]

[You have won No Change!]

[Reward stays the sa!]

[You have signed in at !]

[You have obtained the knowledge of Leonara’s royal ether arts and aura techniques!]

[Ding! Lucky spin is in effect!]

[You have won No Change!]

[Reward stays the sa!]

Rion read the ssages and mumbled, "It feels strange for so reason..."

"Rion?" "My liege?"

Zaelyane and Yuura’s voices reached his ears, drawing his attention to them.

He turned his head towards them and spoke, "What?"

They looked at him with puzzled expressions and spoke at the sa ti, "Why are we here?"

"Hmm?" Confused, Rion looked around himself and saw that the houses around them were in such a bad condition that they were barely standing.

’Ah... I unknowingly teleported us within the slums.’ Rion facepald himself and said, "I wasn’t focusing."

He activated his Zone, and his eyebrow rose.

He turned to the right, and Yuura asked, "Is sothing there?"

He nodded. "There is."

"What is it?" Zaelyane asked flatly.

"You’ll see soon," he mumbled, and the next mont, stomps reached them, and horses with knights in silver armour riding atop them ca into their view.
