The shadows behind Jareb and Henry trembled, and two dark swords ca out of them.

Right at that mont, the expressions of the two noble heirs turned grim and lost as the living shadows poisoned them and their swords moved towards them.

Bael, who couldn’t perceive the living shadows as perfectly as everything else, quickly turned upon sensing them and pushed both of them out of the swords’ paths.

The swords t air and zipped past his arms. His fists caught golden flas, and he swung them at the two living shadows.

A deafening explosion ran throughout the area as Bael used more than needed aura and blasted the living shadows to smithereens.

He imdiately checked both of them, and a sound reached his ears.

"What was that?"

"Enemy attack?!"

"Knights, get ready!"

The remaining few knights of the command front ca out of their tents and made way towards Bael.

Sensing them, Bael placed a hand on the shoulders of the two noble heirs and used Zone Relocation to teleport back into their tent.

Once inside the tent, he let out a deep sigh and disabled Intent Veil.

Honored One instantly cured the effects of the shadow poison and Jareb, and Henry stumbled backwards while huffing audibly.

Bael glanced at them before he closed his eyes and focused entirely on his Zone.

The knights were checking the place where Bael had killed the living shadows, and as they found those remains, panic visibly spread between them. All of them were clever enough to understand that the living shadows had found the way to their camp, and they were no longer safe.

However, what they needed to know more was who killed them.

Bael’s gaze stayed on them to make sure none of the living shadows were remaining.

After watching them for five minutes, he opened his eyes and looked at Jareb and Henry, who were staring at their swords with grave faces.

Bael could understand what was going through their head; both of them were trained in the art of swordsmanship from a young age, yet they couldn’t even react to the shadows’ attack.

Obviously, such a thought was utterly stupid because the shadows didn’t fit any of the categories they were trained for, but rarely did the human mind care about logic when self-pride was on the other side of the scale.

"Don’t think too much about it," he mumbled as he stepped closer to them.

They looked at him without any change in their expressions. Their lips parted to speak, but no words left them as they had nothing to say.

Bael placed his hands on their shoulders and said, "You did what you could. Don’t beat yourselves up."

They nodded, and Bael frowned.

Normally, they would have said sothing like a noble can’t afford to lose, but seeing them nod so easily, Bael couldn’t help but be worried about them.

His lips parted to comfort them, but upon seeing the slight flas of determination in their eyes, he couldn’t do it.

He once again patted their shoulders and said, "I will train both of you."

At his words, the dark clouds over their faces vanished, and confusion overtook them as they asked with tilted heads, "What did you just say?"

Bael smiled. "I haven’t taught before, so don’t expect much."

Jareb and Henry glanced into his vivid eyes before they looked at each other and said, "We would be happy to learn from you."

Bael turned towards the exit and said, "Let’s go then."

They frowned and asked, "Right now?"

Bael turned his head to them and stated with a smug smile, "What ti better than now?"

The noble heirs fell silent and followed behind him.

The reason why Bael had decided to teach them wasn’t just emotional but also political. The two of them were the children of marquises with great power and reputation, so by becoming the teacher of their children, he could earn their favor.

As for why he wasn’t looking into how living shadows managed to reach the camp, he couldn’t because he didn’t know when the shadows actually ca here, and because the commander wasn’t here, his Zone was already telling him things he needed to know.

As the three of them made their way towards the empty grounds at the north of the camp, they t the soldiers that had just returned, and much to their cursed fate, they also t the other nobles who had gone for the patrols.

’I don’t have ti for this,’ Bael sighed inwardly, and just like what he had done at Ironvilla city, he used Illusion Zone and made all of them disappear from others’ vision.

Seeing Enris and others walk by without throwing scornful remarks at them, the two noble heirs frowned and looked at Bael, who said nothing and just smiled at them.

They had sensed it at the Ironvilla city as well, but now they were completely sure that Bael had a way to make them imperceptible to others.

After the soldiers and nobles passed them, they moved to the empty grounds, and once there, Bael took out his daggers and said, "Unsheathe your swords."

Aware of his strength, the two complied and took their stances.

Bael gave them an impressed nod and asked, "Have you learned any of the ether arts?"

They shook their head, and Henry answered, "We are still learning the ether arts of our family."

"I see..." Bael spun the daggers in his hand and said, "Co."

The two glanced at each other and nodded before both dashed towards Bael.

"Good,’ Bael comnted inwardly.

They reached his sides and swung their swords. Bael easily blocked them and deflected away from himself before putting his dagger to their necks.

Their eyes widened, and their mouths fell agape as they looked at him in disbelief.

"H-How?" they stuttered.

Bael smirked and moved his daggers away as he answered, "A coordinated attack was a good choice, but there are only a few things you can do to defeat your opponent, and if the opponent has already trained in thods to block those, your attack loses its edge. You both can’t be dominant; one must be supportive."
