Nanochanical Principles?

What is this?

Shen Feng frowned and took the book from the cabinet.

The pages weren’t made entirely of paper. They were mixed with sothing like plastic fibers, making them feel incredibly soft and light. It was so light in his hands it felt almost weightless.

Still, the pages were slightly yellowed, as if they had been sitting there for a very long ti.

Shen Feng opened the book and found it was a highly technical text. Its main content was a detailed explanation of the principles and manufacturing thods for a type of nanomachine.

Nanotechnology is the science and technology of manufacturing substances using individual atoms and molecules, studying the properties and applications of materials with structural dinsions in the 1 to 100 nanoter range.

So-called nanomachines are essentially individual machines miniaturized to the extre, down to the nanoter level. They can then be used to create, modify, or destroy objects at a microscopic level.

When applied to biology, this ans directly affecting organisms at the cellular level.

Intelligent nanomachines are called smart nanomachines.

When these nanomachines work, they don’t operate individually. Instead, millions or tens of millions of them perform collective operations to achieve speeds visible to the naked eye.

This operational collective is called a machine cloud.

Each individual nanomachine is just one component of the machine cloud, like a single cell in a human body.

For the world of 2019, nanomachine technology was still in its infancy.

Sothing like a nanomachine cloud was pure fantasy.

The most difficult problems to solve involved microcircuit etching and chanical construction at the molecular level, followed by establishing matrix signal connectivity for the entire machine cloud.

Even the most advanced photolithography machines couldn’t break the 1-nanoter barrier, let alone construct microcircuits in such a tiny space.

Yet the smart nanomachine cloud described in the copy of *Nanochanical Principles* in Shen Feng’s hands had already achieved nanoter-level construction technology, solving almost all the related technical challenges!

This wasn’t a book of speculation about so future technology; it was more like an instruction manual.

In other words, if the conditions were right, Shen Feng could even manufacture a smart nanomachine cloud in this world that would obey his commands!

Having acquired a vast amount of knowledge through his Silicon-Based Brain, Shen Feng’s own understanding was far beyond what it once was. He naturally understood just how precious the contents of this book were.

This was technology that was, at the very least, decades ahead of his world!

It didn’t belong to this world!

Shen Feng understood in his heart. ’This most likely ca from a Parallel World.’

But why had the "True Apocalypse Ga" given this to him?

’Does it want to create a smart nanomachine cloud in this world?’

But this wasn’t sothing you could make just by getting your hands on a book of principles.

To successfully manufacture any creation that represents the pinnacle of a technological civilization, a powerful and complete industrial system is essential.

To build the machines that build the smart nanomachines, you must first build the machines that build *those* machines. It was a mouthful, but that was the entire point of an industrial manufacturing chain.

Currently, the only country on Earth with a complete manufacturing industry chain was Hua Country. But even Hua Country couldn’t produce sothing like this yet.

There was likely only one answer: the book was related to the mission world Shen Feng was about to enter!

’In that case, I should just morize it for now...’

Shen Feng quickly skimd through the entire book. Although he couldn’t understand it all at the mont, he recorded everything into his Silicon-Based Brain.

He could study all this slowly. Right now, what he wanted to do most was check the situation at the Arctic Ruins and imdiately push forward the new mission phase in version 1.0 of the "True Apocalypse Ga" he had created.

More than a week had passed since he created his ga, invited the one hundred players to join, and watched them find the vaccine information and begin mass production.

During this ti, Shen Feng had been closely monitoring the entire process online, which was ntally exhausting.

It was already midnight. After putting away *Nanochanical Principles*, Shen Feng lay down on his bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Although half of his Silicon-Based Brain could operate for long periods, the majority of his body was still composed of biological cells made of carbohydrates. It still needed rest.

Early the next morning, Shen Feng got up, went out to a breakfast stall, and had a bowl of savory tofu pudding with a generous amount of chili oil, a set of jianbing guozi, a stear of soup-filled pork buns, and a cup of sweet soy milk. Only then did he finish his breakfast, completely satisfied.

He didn’t know if it was due to ntal overexertion, but his appetite had been growing larger and larger, yet his weight hadn’t increased.

Today was Sunday, and the school was on a rare break.

But for Shen Feng, it didn’t matter whether there was a break or not. After all, he spent most of his ti active in the online world via his Silicon-Based Brain.

Besides, the school was no longer just an educational institution for him. It was more like a psychological wellness center, a place to soothe the darkness his mind accumulated from mission activities and to remind him of... his humanity.

After eating and drinking his fill, Shen Feng started strolling down the street.

The sun was shining brightly, and the panic caused by the recent Petrification Disease outbreak had mostly subsided.

Perhaps it was because of the weather, but even though people were hurrying in the morning light, most of them wore gentle smiles.

The aroma from the breakfast stalls, the laughter of pedestrians, the hum of car engines, the sweet scent of fruit stands, the sound of children reading aloud from a nearby elentary school—all the sounds and slls intertwined, seeming to turn the entire world golden.

An unprecedented sense of satisfaction welled up in Shen Feng’s heart as he smiled and pushed open the door to the pet hospital.

He was here today to take the golden retriever ho.

"Xiaoshen, did sothing good happen? You look so happy," teased the young nurse at the pet hospital. Her na was Xiaoyu, and she had beco quite familiar with the boy.

Shen Feng chuckled and said, "Found a job as a chanic. I can make money now without having to go to school."

The young nurse shot him a look, feigning annoyance. "You’re full of it. Not a single true word out of your mouth."

With that, she walked into the kennel in the back room and brought out the golden retriever.

The golden retriever now looked completely different from the battered and miserable state it was in when it had just returned from the Stone Statue Apocalypse. Its wounds had mostly healed, its whole body was washed clean, and its fur was brushed to a flowing sheen.

On top of that, the food at the pet hospital was good. The young nurse had covered its mangled half-ear with a pink bow, making the dog look much prettier.

Aside from looking a bit girly.

Upon seeing Shen Feng, the golden retriever barked once and lunged forward, stopping about a ter in front of him. It wagged its tail gently, its dark brown eyes looking at Shen Feng, full of glee.

Shen Feng crouched down and hugged the golden retriever’s head, ruffling its fur vigorously, equally overjoyed.

"So, have you been doing okay here? What’s with this ridiculous bow?"

He said, yanking the bow off.

The young nurse pouted from the side and said,

"It looked so good with it on, why’d you take it off? Where on earth did you find this golden retriever? When it was in the kennel, none of the other dogs, big or small, dared to make a sound. So of them even peed themselves in fear..."

Shen Feng chuckled to himself. ’Of course. The golden retriever was the king of a wolf pack. It’d be strange if those ordinary house pets *didn’t* pee themselves when they t him.’

In a way, the golden retriever had saved his life. Therefore, Shen Feng planned to let him live a good life in this peaceful world, never again having to experience those life-or-death battles.

Seeing Shen Feng remain silent, the young nurse asked again,

"What’s his na? I never did find out."

A na?

Shen Feng pondered for a mont, then said,

"His na is Da Jinzi."

The young nurse couldn’t help but furrow her brow.

"What a rustic na."

Shen Feng grinned. "A rustic na brings good luck and makes him easier to raise, right, Da Jinzi?"

And as it happened, a large piece of gold had co into this world along with the dog.

As if it understood Shen Feng, Da Jinzi imdiately barked a few tis, seeming quite pleased with its na.

Just then, a morning news report ca on the nearby television:

"...agencies from the two nations have reached a cooperative agreent and are preparing to jointly restart exploration of the prehistoric stone statue ruins in the Arctic..."

Shen Feng raised his eyebrows, glancing at the news footage. He clipped the leash onto Da Jinzi’s collar and said,

"Da Jinzi, let’s go. Ti to get to work."
