She made his power go to the wrong place, she stepped where his weight could not follow, she broke his balance—
Despite his new, almost overflowing strength...
She made him feel... powerless.
One ti, he tried to rush her.
With his new body, he was fast, very fast.
His body shot forward, closing the distance in a blink but she simply stepped aside, Lucian passed her and she placed her finger on the back of his neck.
Lucian froze.
Once again, the ssage was clear.
If this was a death battle, his head would be rolling at this exact point.
"You overcommit when frustrated."
Vivienne’s voice ca from behind him.
Lucian turned around and—
"This is why strength bores ."
Vivienne comnted as she walked around him.
"You are strong."
Lucian didn’t say anything.
The words felt like praise but for so reason, he just felt... dismissed.
Like it didn’t matter.
And Vivienne’s next words proved it.
"And that is the least interesting thing about you."
Lucian lowered his head in sha, but then, he noticed sothing in her words and frowned.
"Least interesting...?
Then what’s more interesting?"
He couldn’t help but ask.
"You stopped."
She answered, her eyes montarily fell on Dorian and—
"You could have hurt him more than you did, but you stopped."
Dorian’s jaw tightened at those words.
Vivienne didn’t care, she stepped closer to Lucian and—
"That shows control. It tells that your blood does not own you, at least not completely."
Lucian didn’t know what he was supposed to say, his head remained low. Vivienne, on the other hand, turned to Instructor Rowan.
"He is not staying here."
She instructed. Lucian looked at her, Rowan, however, didn’t seem surprised.
"You want him transferred?"
He asked, expecting her to put Lucian in the interdiate class.
But—
"No, transfers go to other classes, he’s coming with ."
The mont she said those words, the air in the room shifted.
"Wait."
Lucian blinked.
That was when Lucian finally ca out of his reverie.
"I am... going with you?"
"Do you not want to?"
Vivienne narrowed her eyes.
"I..."
Lucian turned silent for a mont.
He looked around, he saw the trainees’ expressions, even Instructor Rowan seed unsettled, ever since this woman arrived, he had sensed the air in the room change.
The trainees and Instructor feared her, when she offered to take him, Rowan almost looked at him with pity, so whatever it was—
Going with her didn’t seem like a good decision.
But...
"I do.
I want to."
Lucian agreed, his purple eyes glowing with strong determination.
Lucian didn’t know who this woman was or why every single person here feared her, what he did know, however, was that she was the only person he had t so far who far outclassed even that bastard who killed his parents.
She was strong, ridiculously strong.
And he wanted to beco as strong as her.
He wanted to learn from her, no matter how dangerous it was.
"L-Lady Vivienne, Miss Voss assigned him to standard assessnt."
Rowan tried to intervene, looking at Lucian with a horrified look on his face but—
"Then tell Claire I disagreed."
Vivienne commanded and...
There was nothing Rowan could do about it, after all, Vivienne Everhart far outranked even Claire.
"U-Understood."
He bowed.
Vivienne looked at Lucian and—
"Co with ."
She commanded.
"Yes."
Lucian nodded and started following her.
The two left the training hall and as Lucian observed her from behind, he couldn’t help but think of a question.
"Lady Vivienne..."
"Ask."
Lucian blinked.
How did she know he wanted to ask a question...?
At this point, however, he just stopped thinking about it and asked what he wanted to.
"Why did you choose ?"
"Beginner training would have wasted your ti."
"Hmm? I was told that I am a beginner."
Lucian frowned.
"You are."
Vivienne nodded without stopping.
"Then how is beginner training a waste?"
"Because it will teach you slowly."
"And that is bad?"
"For you, yes.
You do not need soone to tell you where to place your feet for six months. Your body will learn it in days if shown correctly."
Vivienne then paused for a mont and looked at him.
"Your problem is not learning. Your problem is that you learn too quickly, that includes mistakes too."
"Mistakes...?"
Lucian frowned.
"Yes, the slower you learn, the higher the chances that your body starts learning by itself, that’s the stage where the body picks up the most bad habits."
Vivienne explained and Lucian nodded, finally understanding what she was trying to say, Vivienne continued walking. Lucian followed, honestly, he had more questions, he just didn’t know how to ask mo—
"First rule of learning under —
If you have any questions, you ask that instant, it doesn’t matter what it is, clear?"
Vivienne paused and looked back again. Lucian blinked.
Again, how did she know...?
She blinked but—
"Y-Yes."
He nodded.
Vivienne narrowed her eyes.
"Do not make repeat myself."
Lucian understood in an instant and asked what he had in his mind.
"That’s... it? That’s the only reason you took ? So that I don’t make mistakes?"
"No."
Vivienne shook her head.
"Then?"
"I am interested in you."
"Huh?"
Lucian blinked, then, a playful light appeared in his eyes as a thought entered his head almost instinctively but before he could say it—
"Do not."
Vivienne looked at him with piercing eyes and Lucian quickly changed the next words that ca out of his mouth.
"I-Interested as in interested in my blood?"
"Yes. The very fact that you are alive interests . The current state of your body interests . So does your potential, I am interested to see what you may beco."
"So you are bored."
Lucian concluded.
That made Vivienne pause and look at him for a mont, then, she nodded.
"Yes."
Lucian nodded back.
"I never thought soone would be ’bored’ in a Supernatural World."
Vivienne didn’t say anything, she just turned around and started walking.
"Co."
Lucian followed.
Vivienne took him to a Training Hall, there were swords, guns, and other weapons here, but Lucian’s attention fell on two chairs and a mattress here.
And before he could wonder what it was about, Vivienne turned towards him and—
"This is where you will be staying for the next month."
She introduced and Lucian—
"...what?"
