Those instincts, however, seem to have disappeared now that your hunger is rising.

"I need you to lose control, Lucian."
Vivienne cut him off.
Lucian froze and she continued—
"I need to see how long it takes for you to lose control, I need to observe how far you can hold yourself back just using your mind.
That is the point of your training.
You will keep using demonic energy till you can no longer control yourself and you will keep repeating it until you learn how to control yourself, even when you have no demonic energy left in your body.
That is when you will be able to say you have complete control over yourself."

Vivienne raised her eyebrow.
