Bai Ren stepped forward.

With a single step, he vanished and reappeared high above the battlefield, white robes snapping violently as Immortal Qi surged beneath his feet.

The pressure he released was sharp and deliberate, aid directly at the colossal figure in the sky.

The Half-Qilin's pupils contracted.

Before it could react, Bai Ren had already crossed half the distance, stopping just outside its killing range-close enough to provoke, far enough to mock. He smiled.

"Didn't you learn your lesson from last ti?"

Bai Ren said lightly, his voice carrying clearly through the heavens.

The Half-Qilin froze for a heartbeat-

Then it roared.

A furious, earth-shaking roar that sent shockwaves rippling through the clouds.

Its Qi flared violently, crimson flas licking along its scales as killing intent flooded the sky.

"Don't be arrogant, human!" the Half-Qilin thundered.

"You only managed to injure because of your weapon. Today, I will shred you to pieces!"

The Half-Qilin's eyes burned with hatred as it locked onto Bai Ren alone. The humiliation it had suffered before had been carved deep into its pride-and today, it had co to erase it.

Bai Ren rely chuckled.

"So impatient," he muttered.

Behind him, two figures moved.

Zhao Wujin and Yu Xuande stepped forward as well. Since they already had experience fighting the Half-Qilin, they were chosen to face it this ti as well.

Zhao Wujin honestly wanted to refuse-he never wanted to face the Half-Qilin again-but his pride would not allow it.

Not to ntion, if not Half-Qilin then he might need to fight against Mó Zün which is also not an easy opponent.

Bai Chu also moved, heading straight toward Mó Zūn.

The mont the Half-Qilin finished speaking, the sky exploded.

It did not wait.

It did not give Bai Ren the leisure of striking first.

With a furious roar, its massive body blurred, space cracking beneath its charge as it closed the distance in an instant.

Demonic flas surged, claws tearing through the void itself as it struck straight toward Bai Ren.

Fast.

Decisive.

Ruthless.

Bai Ren's eyes narrowed.

Last ti, the Half-Qilin had endured, allowing injuries to stack until it was forced into retreat.

This ti, it refused to give Bai Ren that chance.

Boom-!

Bai Ren raised his sword just in ti, Immortal Qi erupting as the claw slamd down.

The impact shook the heavens, shockwaves rippling outward as both figures were forced back.

Before Bai Ren could press forward-

The Half-Qilin was already moving again.

Another charge. Another strike. Relentless.

It gave Bai Ren no rhythm, no opening, attacking like a storm that refused to let

up.

Behind Bai Ren, Zhao Wujin and Yu Xuande struck.

Techniques crashed against the Half-Qilin's flank and back-

Yet the beast didn't even turn its head.

It ignored them completely, as if they were no more than insects buzzing at its

side.

Its focus never left Bai Ren.

Because it knew.

Those two could never truly hurt it. He needs to only be wary of Sword in Bai Ren's hand.

Zhao Wujin clenched his teeth.

His attacks were landing-but shallow. Deflected by scales, dispersed by

Demonic Qi.

Still, he didn't stop. Even if he couldn't deal decisive damage, every disruption

mattered.

Yu Xuande coordinated flawlessly, timing his strikes to interfere with the Half-Qilin's movents, forcing slight adjustnts-tiny deviations that Bai Ren

imdiately capitalized on.

Bai Ren's expression sharpened.

Each exchange grew fiercer than before, sparks flying as sword and claw

clashed again and again.

The Half-Qilin refused to tank blows, retreating and counterattacking instantly, never allowing injuries from Bai Ren.

This was experience.

Elsewhere-

Bai Chu and Mó Zun collided.

Their clash was quieter-but no less dangerous.

Qi and Demonic Qi intertwined as the two exchanged blows.

Neither pressed recklessly, neither revealed more than necessary.

A stalemate.

And Mó Zun didn't seem to mind at all.

His expression remained indifferent, movents unchanged from before-

steady, patient, thodical.

He wasn't here to gamble.

He wasn't here to rush.

As long as the Half-Qilin held Bai Ren in check, ti was on his side.

But of course-neither Bai Ren nor Bai Chu had co here to be dragged into a

battle of attrition.

They were waiting.

Waiting for that one mont.

To show their opponents the technique they had been practicing for the past

week.

Of course, they couldn't use it recklessly.

It consud an enormous amount of Qi, and once their trump card was

revealed, they would never get the sa opportunity again.

So it had to count.

When they used it-

It had to be decisive.

CLANG! CLANG!

Sword and claw collided again and again, sparks tearing through the sky like

falling stars.

The battle only grew fiercer.

The Half-Qilin was overwhelming.

Its massive body moved with terrifying precision, Demonic flas spiraling

around it as each strike carried crushing force.

Bai Ren was forced backward step by step, his white robes torn by shockwaves,

Immortal Qi flaring constantly just to hold the line.

He couldn't advance.

Every ti Bai Ren tried to counter, the Half-Qilin twisted away instantly, claws

smashing down before the sword could fully extend.

Yu Xuande and Zhao Wujin supported without pause.

Yet-

Useless.

Their techniques struck but the Half-Qilin's scales barely cracked. Demonic Qi

swallowed the impact, wounds sealing almost as soon as they appeared.

The beast didn't even snarl.

It didn't even acknowledge them.

It pressed Bai Ren harder.

Faster.

Heavier.

Another claw descended-

BOOM!

Bai Ren blocked, but his feet slid backward through the air, blood finally spilling

from the corner of his lips. His arm trembled as Immortal Qi surged to stabilize

his sword.

The Half-Qilin lood above him, eyes blazing with cruel satisfaction.

"Looks like your ti has co, human!"

It thundered.

Its killing intent exploded.

A massive demonic sigil ford beneath its claws as it poured power into a

single decisive strike-one ant to end everything.

Even Bai Ren felt it.

He exhaled slowly.

Not panic. Not despair.

Just... calm.

The Half-Qilin descended like a falling star.

Claws tearing through the heavens. Death rushing closer. And at that exact mont-

Bai Ren's Immortal Qi changed.

It circulated inward in a pattern so profound that the surrounding space

trembled.

Far away, Bai Chu's eyes sharpened.

(Now!)

The Half-Qilin sensed it too-and its expression twisted.

"What-?!"

But it was already too late.

Bai Ren lifted his sword. "Fate Severing Slash!"
