The crowd had yet to settle from the shock of everything that had transpired.
Whispers still lingered, discussions overlapping-when suddenly, another figure stepped forward.
Seventh Prince, Yu Longxuan!
All eyes turned toward him as they expected another good drama.
He stopped a short distance before Mu Linyue, his gaze softening as it rested upon her.
"Miss Mu," he began, his voice gentle yet clear enough to carry across the hall, "from the mont I saw you today... I found myself unable to look away."
A slight pause.
"As foolish as it may sound, I believe this is what people call love at first sight." A ripple passed through the crowd.
"I, Yu Longxuan, sincerely wish to take you as my consort."
Silence!
The words landed heavily.
No one had expected sothing so direct.
But before anyone could fully react-
Another voice followed.
"Seventh Brother, you truly move quickly."
A second figure stepped forward.
Third Prince, Yu Wenzhao!
His expression held a faint smile, but his eyes were sharp.
"I must say... I feel the sa."
He turned toward Mu Linyue, bowing slightly.
"Miss Mu, I too was deeply moved upon seeing you today. I, Yu Wenzhao, would also like to invite you to beco my consort."
The atmosphere instantly changed.
The two princes stood facing the sa person-but the air between them was anything but calm.
Yu Longxuan's gaze flickered toward Yu Wenzhao, a trace of fury and hostility surfacing.
He thought that by making a first move, other prince would not interfere as that would be inapproapraite and cause one to look face.
But Yu Wenzhao wasn't playing by the rule and followed him.
Everyone present understood that this wasn't about love.
They all knew that two of them wants her because of how valuable she would
be in their upcoming battle for the throne.
The other princes remained where they were, watching carefully.
They didn't step forward.
Not because they lacked interest-but because two had already made their
move. To barge in now would only make them appear desperate.
All eyes turned toward Mu Linyue once again.
The Mu Clan didn't seem to want to interfere as doing so might seemd disrespectful to the Imperial Family.
All they can do is trust the decision in Mu Linyue's hand.
Mu Linyue remained calm, though a trace of helplessness flickered in her eyes.
She cupped her hands lightly.
"Your Highnesses, I appreciate your intentions..."
Her tone was polite.
asured.
"But I have no plans of falling in love at the mont."
A clear rejection.
However, neither prince moved.
Yu Longxuan's expression did not change.
Yu Wenzhao's smile remained.
"As expected of Miss Mu," Yu Longxuan said softly. "But such matters... can be considered slowly."
Yu Wenzhao nodded slightly. "Indeed. There is no need to decide imdiately. We can cultivate our love as we live together."
Well, they weren't looking for love, so they didn't care much about whether Mu Linyue would loewe them as long as she agrees to marry them.
Their intention was clear and they were not accepting any answer that leads to ambuiguity.
Not without a reason strong enough to force them to withdraw.
Mu Linyue looked at the two princes and felt a faint headache coming.
She had already been polite enough, yet neither of them showed any intention
of backing down.
If she wished, she could have spoken bluntly, even ridicule but the people before her were princes.
Their status was far from ordinary. Offending them would only bring trouble to
the Mu Clan, sothing she had no intention of doing.
At the sa ti, she understood clearly, they would not give up so easily.
Her gaze shifted slightly, searching for a way out.
Then she paused.
Not far away, Bai Xueqing stood still while Bai Zihan were munching on Spirit
Fruits as if none of this concerned him.
!!!
A strange idea surfaced in her mind.
Mu Linyue turned back to the princes, her expression returning to calm.
"Since young," she said slowly, "I have always admired strong and powerful
n."
The mont those words left her lips, Yu Longxuan and Yu Wenzhao both
straightened subtly.
Their chests lifted.
Their auras rose.
Even the surrounding Qi stirred faintly as they unconsciously released a trace
of their cultivation, as if to display their strength.
Mu Linyue continued, her tone steady.
"In fact..."
She paused, then added lightly-
"My cousin has always been soone I admire greatly."
A ripple spread through the crowd.
Cousin?
Everyone instinctively followed her line of sight-
Toward Bai Zihan who was still chewing.
Mu Linyue's lips curved ever so slightly.
"If soone like him were to appear..."
A brief pause.
"I wouldn't mind considering marriage."
Now, the attention of the entire hall sharpened.
Everyone could sense it, she was leading sowhere.
Then Mu Linyue spoke clearly.
"If anyone can defeat my cousin, Bai Zihan... I can consider marriage."
Silence!
Then a strange feeling spread across the crowd.
Deja vu!
Many people exchanged glances.
Wasn't this sothing that they heard sowhere?
Wasn't this exactly how Bai Xueqing had rejected countless suitors before?
Anyone who could defeat Bai Zihan, she would consider.
And what was the result?
Until now, forget a victor, there hadn't even been a single challenger.
Because this was Bai Zihan.
Within his generation, who could stand against him?
Even if he fought with one hand behind his back, no one would dare step
forward.
And just like that, Proposals had naturally disappeared.
After all, she wasn't asking for sothing unreasonable. She simply wanted soone stronger than her "little brother."
A perfectly fair condition, only if that "little brother" wasn't Bai Zihan.
Yu Longxuan and Yu Wenzhao both fell silent.
Their earlier confidence... froze.
Previously, this was precisely the excuse Bai Xeuqing used and rejected most of
them.
Now Mu Linyue was employing the sa tactics.
And at the center of it-
Bai Zihan calmly swallowed his fruit, glanced up, and raised a brow slightly.
"Huh?"
(What's going on? Why is everyone looking at ? Am I too handso even when I am eating?)
