When his mother hit him, Ethan Dalton burst into tears with a loud wail!
"Waaaah...!"
His cries were so loud that Butler Warren quickly picked him up to comfort him—
"Don’t cry, don’t cry, young master! Don’t cry, it’s alright..." Butler Warren looked uneasily at Joan Graham, afraid she might strike again.
Joan Graham looked at her disappointing son, blaming herself even more, since he was her own child!
"You... you... you... I... I hate you all!!" Ethan pointed at his mother, cried out, pushed away Butler Warren, and ran upstairs!!
Joan Graham was in a chaotic state of mind!
"Madam..." Butler Warren stomped her foot anxiously, "Blaming the child is useless." As she spoke, she was about to go upstairs.
But Joan Graham grabbed her and stopped her in her tracks, "Don’t mind him, he’s been spoiled usually, he needs to think carefully by himself."
"... You expect soone simple-minded to think??"
Butler Warren suddenly realized that the problem wasn’t with the child, but with the adults.
So, for the sake of the family’s peace, she stayed and persuaded, "Madam, Mr. Dalton treats the young master very well, he has never complained, do you agree with this?"
Joan Graham sat down on the sofa, slowly lifted her eyes to look at her, "..."

Then, Butler Warren spoke again, "Since Mr. Dalton has accepted this fact, why can’t you, as his mother, accept it?"
"If he were a healthy child, my relationship with David Garcia wouldn’t be this cold."

Their gazes lingered on each other for a long ti, and Joan’s rationality slowly returned. She stood up and walked upstairs.
Butler Warren followed behind.
"Ethan?"
"Young master!"
After going upstairs, they didn’t hear any crying, and started searching room by room!
"Ethan! Where are you?"
"Young master, please say sothing!"
As they searched, they quickly made a round and reached the stairwell, feeling a sudden chill, glancing upstairs, they couldn’t help but worry.
The third floor was a forbidden area for the Dalton family, under full surveillance, Mr. Dalton had specially instructed that no one, without permission, was allowed up there.

Butler Warren quickly clutched the railing and glanced upstairs, "Young master, are you on the third floor? Co down quickly!" Her heart raced with anxiety.
"Ethan, I bought you a cake, co down quickly!" Joan Graham was also worried as she softly called out at the stairwell—
"It was my fault, I shouldn’t have lost my temper at you, co down first, I’ll apologize to you, okay?"
Despite their humble pleas, there was no response from upstairs.
Joan Graham and Butler Warren exchanged glances, realizing things were not looking good.
Joan Graham started walking cautiously upstairs!
"Madam..." Butler Warren was worried but didn’t follow.
It had been at least eighteen years since she had been to the third floor.
As she turned the corner of the staircase, she felt a chill down her back, a little unnerving.
"Ethan?"
"Ethan, are you up there?"
During broad daylight, Joan Graham felt particularly guilty due to her conscience.
When she reached the third floor, Ethan was sitting outside the tightly closed room, hugging his knees in silence, making him look both heartbreaking and infuriating.
"Get downstairs now!"
Joan Graham walked over, bent down, grabbed his hand, and pulled him up, dragging him toward the stairwell!
