Jocelyn Morgan was startled by these words and imdiately shook her head and walked away!
"Jocelyn!" Trevor caught up quickly, "Jocelyn, listen to !"
At the elevator entrance, Jocelyn frantically pressed the button to go downstairs, "Trevor, don’t follow ! Let be alone for a while! I considered you a friend, a buddy, and you actually wanted to date and gave a scare!"
She hated being used as a shield, feeling it was extrely disrespectful.
The elevator door opened, and she rushed in as if fleeing.
If that girl hadn’t run away, if the girl’s father hadn’t chased after her, and if President Dalton hadn’t left, this al would have felt like an eternity to Jocelyn Morgan.
At this mont, she was filled with resentnt towards Trevor.
Watching her enter the elevator, watching the doors close, watching the numbers decrease, Trevor felt helpless, a mont of sadness flashing in his eyes.
Although this wasn’t the best approach, at least he confessed.
Considering his personality, confessing to a girl was very difficult for him.
Taking two steps back, Trevor turned and stood by the railing in the corridor.
He grasped the railing tightly, gazing at the bustling cityscape in the distance, a feeling of frustration arising within him.
He liked her, liked her very much!
After a while, the elevator door opened, and David Dalton ca out. He was montarily stunned upon seeing his son’s silhouette and couldn’t help but pause.
As a father, he was certainly happy about his son dating, since Trevor wasn’t young anymore.
But this entrance was sowhat unexpected.
Strange, where was that girl?
He looked around but didn’t see her.
Taking steps towards his son, David Dalton stood beside Trevor, placing a hand on his shoulder, cautiously asking, "Trevor, where is your girlfriend?"
Trevor turned his eyes; the emotions within them explained everything.
"What’s going on?" David Dalton’s voice was gentle, sensing sothing unusual, "Trevor, talk to your dad, it’s okay." Showing a father’s kindness and tolerance.
"I’m sorry, Dad." Trevor cald down, apologizing for ruining the dinner.
David Dalton shook his head, smiling, "It’s okay, we are all old friends, he won’t mind."
Trevor released the railing, stood up straight, and spoke earnestly, "Jocelyn isn’t my girlfriend yet, but she soon will be."
After saying this, he glanced at his father and then turned into the elevator, needing to calm down after making the first impulsive decision of his life.
David Dalton was greatly shocked, not his girlfriend??
So his earlier actions angered that girl?
Watching his son leave, David Dalton instantly understood that his son acted impulsively, bringing her here without her knowledge.
David Dalton’s brow furrowed slightly, with an expression of anxiety and worry.
This was not Trevor’s character—it didn’t suit his style at all.
Sothing that makes a person lose control must be either a blessing or a curse.
In the taxi heading to Providence Hospital, Jocelyn Morgan was wearing the French retro dress Trevor bought, turning her gaze towards the fragnted scenery outside disrupted by passing vehicles.
Her mood had cald down a lot, she wasn’t as angry anymore.
Her expression seed sowhat wooden, but internally she felt more shocked.
Trevor likes her? How is that possible? They hardly have any interaction!
She was just scared by his serious and affectionate confession; how would she face him in the future?
So awkward!
At this mont, the phone in her hand rang, pulling Jocelyn back to reality. It was Trevor calling!
She stared at the number, too frightened to answer!
Her previously calm mood was once again thrown into disorder.
In the speeding Maybach, Trevor held the steering wheel with one hand and the phone with the other.
The ringtone repeated over and over, yet her voice was nowhere to be heard.
Answer it!
He was eagerly anticipating!
He wanted to explain to her and also wanted to apologize to her.
