Watching the man get beaten to the ground, it was hard for him to fight back!
If the beating continued, it might lead to death.
"Trevor!"
Jocelyn realized the situation and quickly rushed over to stop it!
The man was bleeding profusely from his nose, clutching it in pain and collapsing on the ground, while Trevor, full of rage, still intended to not let him go!
"Trevor! Enough! Stop! Trevor!" Jocelyn grabbed Trevor’s arm, "Stop!! You’ll end up with a criminal record!"
She was particularly worried and anxiously looked around, hoping not to attract the police!
"Trevor!" The girl mustered all her strength to diate.
Trevor hit the man a few more tis, then quickly pulled Jocelyn away!
Her small hand was tightly held in his palm, with such strength!
He opened the passenger car door, Jocelyn got into his car, Trevor got into the driver’s seat, and drove off!
In the passenger seat.
Jocelyn turned her gaze towards him, "..." Her emotions were still unsettled, seeing his right hand gripping the steering wheel, with the back of his hand swollen and red, she felt uncomfortable inside.
Trevor’s anger hadn’t subsided, his brows furrowed tightly!
After a while, he turned to ask, "Are you okay?" Only to et her dazed gaze.
Turns out she had been watching him all along, he felt a montary stir in his heart, what was she thinking?
Jocelyn quickly shook her head, withdrawing her gaze, "Trevor, thank you." She said sincerely, filled with gratitude.
Trevor didn’t speak, until he parked the car by the riverside, unbuckling the seatbelt, "Shall we get out and take a walk?"
Jocelyn imdiately cleared her head, she had promised to give him an answer in a few days.
Would he want an answer today?
She too got out of the car, it’s better to clarify so things, matters of the heart can’t be vague, actually Jocelyn had already found her answer.
The riverside offered a broad view, the environnt was particularly nice, across the river stood the famous Kingston Group.
As they gazed across the vast river, the feeling today was eerily familiar.
As Jocelyn and Trevor walked, they couldn’t help but recall that ti in Aethelburg, where under the watchful eyes of the police, she used a suitcase to hit Howard Sawyer... he had dragged her away like this!
"Jocelyn, have you thought it over?"
Trevor walked a few steps, then stopped, turning to look at her seriously.
Jocelyn stopped as well, raising her eyes to et his gaze.
She had her answer, but was contemplating how to express it.
Yet in those few seconds of her hesitation, Trevor made a hand gesture to stop, "Alright!"
He interrupted what she was about to say, catching Jocelyn by surprise.
Trevor stepped back two paces, guessed what she had in mind from her expression, her hesitation, he knew she was going to reject him.
No! This was not what Trevor wanted!
He stared into her eyes, stepping back, "Jocelyn, think it over carefully, don’t rush to give an answer."
Finishing, he imdiately turned to leave, fearing that cruel answer would spill from her lips.
He couldn’t accept it!
Gazing at Trevor’s departing figure, Jocelyn’s thoughts paused for several seconds, she felt a pang of heartache, yet didn’t know what to do.
So words, it’s better to make clear.
But...
He simply wouldn’t accept them, nor give her a chance to say them.
At this mont, the phone rang.
Jocelyn took a look, it was Ian Shelby calling, she ca to her senses and quickly swiped to answer.
Not far away.
As he walked to the car, Trevor lifted his eyes towards the riverside where she stood, "Jocelyn! I like you! I want to be your boyfriend!"
These words not only fell into Jocelyn’s ears, but also into Ian Shelby’s on the other end of the phone.
Jocelyn held the phone, looking at him, her emotions were complex...
Trevor got into the car, which quickly drove away.
In the director’s office, Ian Shelby silently hung up the phone, picked up a tea cup and drank the water in it all at once, put the phone into his pocket, grabbed the registration book and pen from the table, and left!
He went to visit the patients.
