"Hello, President Dalton." Simon heard footsteps, turned around, and greeted respectfully.
"Hello." David Dalton ca up and imdiately saw his son in the distance, then looked at Simon. "What’s going on with him? Troubles at work?"
"Work is going smoothly, everything is as usual," Simon replied honestly. "He just ca from the bar, but didn’t drink much, probably encountered so troubles."
Having just started working with Mr. Trevino, they were in a superior-subordinate relationship, not yet close friends, but Simon admired him, always learning from him and taking him as a role model.
David Dalton looked at the lonely figure standing against the Riventhal wind, seeming to understand sothing. He nodded and walked towards his son.
Trevor only noticed when his father stood beside him, "Dad?" He asked, puzzled, "Why are you here?"
David Dalton held the railing, his expression warm, his kind gaze reaching out towards the vast river surface.
Several luxury yachts were floating, their lights bright as daylight.
"I heard from Stella, the girl you like chose Dr. Shelby."
Trevor was slightly stunned, then couldn’t help but smile, "I hadn’t even had the chance to make the first move, and I’ve already lost."
"That’s not necessarily true," he looked at his son, "If you really love her, let her go."
He turned to look at his father, "If she ever cos back to you, then she’s yours forever. If she doesn’t, even if you have her now, you’ll eventually lose her."
"She won’t co back," Trevor said softly, "I know in my heart, soone you don’t like at first sight, you’ll never like later. She believes in love at first sight, not in love that grows over ti."
"Then look forward, forget her, maybe she’s just a passerby in your life." David Dalton lightly patted his son’s shoulder and turned to look at him, "William got injured."
Trevor furrowed his brows slightly, turning to et his father’s gaze, "When did that happen?"
"But it’s not serious anymore, he just needs to use a wheelchair temporarily."
"That project..."
"He can’t co over," David Dalton said, "You’ll need to make a trip to Eldoria, et him for detailed talks, and preferably finalize the contract in one go."
Trevor pondered, "Alright, I’ll arrange it as soon as possible."
"You, take this opportunity to get away," David Dalton advised earnestly, "Leave the Riventhal, see a different scenery, maybe you’ll have an adventure?"
The project must be discussed, Eldoria must be visited, but Trevor didn’t expect any adventure.
In all his years, with all the people he’s t, he never felt a spark for any girl.
Jocelyn Morgan was the first, and this feeling would probably linger for a long ti.
"My son is so outstanding, he’ll definitely be happy," David Dalton encouraged him, having great confidence in him.
