Trevor paid no mind, as soone soon ca to greet him!
"Mr. Trevor! You must be tired from your long journey! It’s so nice to et you!" soone said with a broad smile, extending their hand to him, "Why didn’t you let us send a car to pick you up? It’s really no trouble!"
"Mr. Trevor, you think too much about others, please co in!"
Tall and gentle-looking, Trevor replied, "Taking a taxi is convenient for , it’s the sa."
Janelle turned around, staring blankly as he was ushered in, thinking how high-end this reception was!
It seed like Trevor was asking, "How’s Mr. William’s foot? Is it better?"
Janelle thought, he really is here at Darcy Manor, could such coincidences really happen in the world?
But she didn’t dwell on it because she saw Demi, dressed in a princess dress, running towards her, "Janelle! Janelle!"
As Demi passed by Trevor, two other n stopped and respectfully greeted her, "Hello, Miss!"
The girl didn’t respond, with a full smile, she ran straight to the gate and hugged Janelle tightly.
Trevor glanced back at them.
Soone introduced him, "This is Mr. William’s daughter, Miss Demi, who might beco your future wife."
Trevor’s gaze flickered, looking at him in confusion, thinking, how old is she?
"Mr. Trevor, please co inside."
Trevor began to walk towards the castle-like building.
He saw many luxury cars parked in the yard, with guests visible everywhere in the manor... as if so joyful event was happening.
"Mr. Trevor," perhaps noticing his confusion, soone explained, "Tomorrow is Miss Demi’s 18th birthday, and there’s a gala event tonight."
Eighteen years old?
He nodded thoughtfully.
As he entered the castle, Trevor was stunned.
Because Mr. William was not in a wheelchair; he stood there like a normal person, without even a cane, looking radiant.
"Trevor!" William called his na fluently in Chinese, holding his wife’s hand and walking towards him, eyes filled with warmth.
Trevor snapped back to reality, quickly greeting them, "Hello Mr. William, hello Madam."
"Hello."
The lady was graceful and dignified, possessing the classic features of an Eastern beauty, politely looking him over, seemingly very pleased.
Trevor, ever the gentleman, did not inquire about Mr. William’s foot, since everyone knew he was healthy.
However, it was clear that Mr. William had lied to his father during their conversation.
The purpose of this lie was evidently to make Trevor visit the manor personally.
As to why he did this, Trevor hadn’t yet found the answer.
In the sunset-drenched yard, as Janelle walked with Demi, she looked around, "Oh my gosh, you really are a little princess! Is it really so grand for a coming-of-age ceremony? The whole yard is decorated!"
"It’s not just the coming-of-age, you know!" Demi said, linking arms with her, smiling shyly, "You’ll find out soon enough; in the most important mont of my life, you must not be absent!"
"The most important mont? What’s the most important mont for you people in Eldoria?" Janelle teased, "I think the most important mont is getting married, the wedding night!"
Demi just laughed, not explaining further, "Hahaha, pretty much! I’m considered half a compatriot! I have the sa blood as you in !"
Janelle looked back doubtfully, "Are there usually this many subordinates at the gate? It feels like the place is heavily guarded today? Kind of an inescapable fortress."
"Pretty much."
The two girls chatted as they stepped towards the castle.
"Daddy, Mommy, let introduce you, this is Janelle, my best friend!" Demi spoke in Chinese, as everyone could understand.
"Hello, Uncle, Auntie." Janelle was very down-to-earth, greeting them with poise and respect.
"Hello, Janelle." William and his wife were also courteous to their daughter’s friend.
"Demi, co, let introduce you first." William stepped forward, taking his daughter’s hand, and introduced solemnly, "This is Trevor!"
The young girl looked up, her admiring gaze landing on this handso man, and she bead a bright smile, "Hello, Trevor!"
"Hello, Miss." Trevor, ever so gentle and courteous, greeted her politely.
