Janelle Mills snapped back into focus, stepping towards him.
She knew William was definitely watching all this, every move under his scrutiny.
Janelle squatted down in front of Trevor, proactively reached out, and grasped the hand holding the book, causing Trevor to pause and look up at her.
"Us..." Janelle t his gaze and quietly asked, "What should we do tomorrow?"
Trevor thought for a mont, then pulled her to sit beside him.
He placed the book in her palm, and whispered to her, "My sister might co over, if she can predict my situation, she’ll probably arrive first thing in the morning." He had already calculated the timing.
"What if she doesn’t predict it?" Janelle worried, "They’ll force you to marry Demi."
"Marriage can’t be forced." Trevor told her, "As long as I don’t compromise inwardly and don’t sign any agreents with him, I can resist him."
"But... you’re on his turf; if he pressures you, he has countless despicable thods at his disposal."
"Then you’ll testify for , agreents signed under impaired consciousness are legally invalid."
In the study room.
William stared at the screen with sore eyes, muttering in confusion, "What are they talking about? Reading and not sleeping? What are they hiding?"
At this mont, a subordinate beside him reported, "Mr. Trevor has a habit of reading before bed, it’s very detailed in the records."
Their voices were too soft, making it impossible to hear what they were discussing.
Monts later, the door opened, and a pink suitcase was sent in.
William knew this must be Demi’s doing.
Janelle got up and took the suitcase, removed clothes and entered the bathroom, since sleeping in a dress was quite inconvenient.
Inside the bathroom, she checked thoroughly and found no caras.
But she still wasn’t reassured, hesitating to run water for a bath.
After a while, Trevor, not hearing the sound of water, put down the book and walked into the bathroom.
He turned on the shower, then checked again.
Janelle was very scared.
Trevor said, "No matter how bizarre he is, he wouldn’t install caras in the bathroom."
After checking every dead corner, he assuredly stated, "You can relax and wash up." After saying this, he turned and exited the bathroom without glancing at her.
Janelle felt awkward because the bathroom door couldn’t be locked!
Moreover, everything outside could be clearly seen from the inside! Although the outside couldn’t see inside, it still gave her significant pressure!
The sound of water was constant, and mist quickly filled the air.
Janelle hesitated for a long ti, watching Trevor sitting on the sofa reading. Gradually, the rising mist blurred that door, and Trevor’s form beca hazy.
Glancing around warily again, there should be no caras, right?
It couldn’t be that bizarre.
When Janelle erged from her bath, she had already changed out of her heavy dress.
Trevor looked up at her, wearing casual clothes, and for a mont, her graceful presence took his breath away.
The age-old adage rings true, a fair lady is what a gentleman seeks.
Facing his gaze, Janelle awkwardly dried her hair, "Do you... know where the hairdryer is?" It felt so peculiar, her heart was beating faster and faster.
Trevor set the book down, got up, and retrieved the hairdryer from a drawer.
"Thanks." She prepared to reach and take it.
Trevor said, "Let help you dry it." As soon as he finished speaking, he reached out and pinched her hair.
Could the act continue?
anwhile, William was still in the study watching surveillance, and his subordinates also thought these two were a couple.
"Sir, it’s getting late, should you rest?"
"I want to see if they sleep together tonight!" William was still waiting, "I always feel like this guy is acting!"
Until he saw him help her dry her hair.
Janelle approached the large bed, sitting on the edge, she took off her shoes and pulled over the blanket, lying inside.
