Jocelyn casually answered while editing a ssage to reply to Cecilia Dunn, then said to Ian Shelby—
"She went for an interview today and ran into a ridiculous situation. By a stroke of luck, she got selected to be an assistant in the CEO’s office."
Ian thought, as long as it’s not Trevor, he’s fine with it.
Besides, he wasn’t interested in other people’s matters.
"If the CEO is young, accomplished, and single," Jocelyn couldn’t resist joking, "maybe there’s a chance for sothing to develop!"
Ian asked, "Do all girls have this kind of thought?"
"What do you an all girls? What kind of thought? This thought is perfectly normal, okay?"
Jocelyn finished editing the ssage and sent it, turning to him and saying, "By the way, you’ve t this girl! Cecilia Dunn! She’s the one who was heartbroken and wanted to jump into the river last ti, the one you saved! Rember?"
Before Ian could answer, Jocelyn laughed and said, "We’ll formally introduce you two soti!"
"I don’t want to et your friend," Ian said seriously.
"Why not?" Jocelyn was taken aback, "You... don’t want to understand better?"
"I don’t need to understand you through her." Ian kindly reminded her, "Haven’t you heard the saying? Guard against fire, theft, and friends."
Jocelyn paused, then held back a laugh, "Are you afraid she’ll develop a crush on you?"
"I’m not that confident," Ian said without joking, "I just don’t want other won around because I don’t know what they’re like, so I want to root out problems like Vera Ford from the start."
"..." Jocelyn’s bright eyes flickered and she smiled softly, "So Dr. Shelby is once bitten by the snake, now afraid of ropes?"
He wasn’t bothered by her teasing.
He only cared about her, and didn’t want her to be hurt again.
"Cocky!"
Jocelyn playfully told him with great certainty, "Cecilia won’t fall for a doctor. Doctors are too busy, the profession itself would scare her away."
"But I have charisma, okay? Otherwise, why would you like ?" Dr. Shelby said sowhat mischievously and confidently.
In the warm sunlight and gentle breeze, Jocelyn gazed at him, her smile like a beautiful painting, and she stepped forward to hold his hand.
"Matters of the heart can’t be answered by my mouth," she said softly, "I like you just because I like you!"
Ian watched her smile with her eyes curved and reached out to stroke her little head, "Shall we go?"
Jocelyn followed Ian as they continued to walk toward the mountain top. As they walked, he let go of her hand and put his arm around her shoulder.
She glanced back and smiled at him, "What do you like about ?" Her eyes filled with deep love and tenderness.
Ian said to her, "Matters of the heart can’t be answered by my mouth either."
"..." Jocelyn couldn’t help but laugh at his tease.
The morning sunlight was gentle, a breeze rustled the leaves, making a rustling sound, and the sky was a clear blue through the gaps between the leaves.

In the spacious and bright CEO’s office, Trevor was handling so docunts.
Ever since Cecilia stepped out of the elevator, her heart was clenched tight. Would the CEO be difficult to get along with? Would he be aloof?

Cecilia approached the desk and bowed at a 90-degree angle, "Hello, CEO, my na is Cecilia Dunn!"
