Trevor was just looking at him, seriously driving with his eyes on the road ahead.
Janelle was montarily dazed, only feeling that his stern profile had a unique masculine charm in the backlight, warm and gentle.
In the brief silence, she was filled with emotion, still in a daze.
Trevor didn’t hear her response, turned and asked, "What? Didn’t hear clearly just now? Do you need to say it again?"
eting his gaze, she quickly shook her head, then quickly nodded, feeling inexplicably flustered inside, "No, heard it clearly, heard it clearly, I will wait for your call!"
The man withdrew his gaze and continued driving.
After a while, she spoke softly, "Thank you."
Trevor didn’t speak, and the car was once again enveloped in brief silence, the Maybach speeding down the road!
Janelle looked at the card in her hand, thought a lot, then hesitated to ask, "Is this card for you or..." She knew that her visit to the hospital today was a special case.
She didn’t have an identity, and it wouldn’t be appropriate to go tomorrow.
Most importantly, she liked him and didn’t want him to think she was botherso.
She feared Trevor would be unhappy; actually, she was overthinking it herself.
"Why give it to ?" The man spoke in a low, magnetic voice, "You promised him, so you must keep your word. If you don’t go tomorrow, what if Ethan cos to asking for you?"
So, what he ant was — she had to go.
After hearing this, Janelle clutched the card box tightly, her head lowered, "Got it."
After a while, he said again, "Tomorrow at two in the afternoon, I’ll pick you up at the hotel downstairs."
"Okay." The girl turned her gaze to him, feeling his profile was much softer, the faint sunlight outlining his silhouette, bringing a touch of gentleness to his ruggedness.
While she was lost in thought looking at him, Trevor stepped on the brakes, and the car stopped.
The girl snapped back to reality and looked out the window, arriving outside the hotel, "Thank you for bringing back." She unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car, bending over to wave at him through the car window, "See you tonight!"
Trevor glanced at her, didn’t say anything, and the car sped away.
Everything that needed to be said had been clearly stated just now.
Inside the hotel lobby, Carlotta Sterling watched as her daughter got out of Trevor’s car, watched her walk this way, and saw the irrepressible smile on her face.
Janelle walked in and only then saw her mother, she retracted her smile, her steps halted, "Sister Sterling?"
The middle-aged woman stared at her, seemingly full of concern.
"What’s wrong? Why are you looking at like that?" The girl was puzzled, "What are you worried about? Are you afraid I’ll get lost in broad daylight?"
Carlotta Sterling’s gaze locked on her, asked earnestly, "Why did you go to the hospital? Are you pregnant?"
"What???" Janelle was shocked, "Why would you think that way?" Her face flushed instantly.
"Why go to the hospital for no reason?" Carlotta Sterling reached out to her daughter, "Quick, give the examination report!"
"What examination report? We just went to visit a friend." Janelle confessed half the truth, not wanting to talk too much about Trevor’s family matters, "This ti you can truly believe , I’m not pregnant!"
It’s just because she didn’t trust her, her mother’s eyes were full of doubt.
The suspicious gaze lingered on her face for a long ti; she felt as if this daughter, as she grew older, could do anything.
"You don’t trust ?" Janelle’s heart skipped a beat, she widened her eyes to ask.
Thinking, this misunderstanding couldn’t be blown up, if her mother went to ask Trevor later, it would be awkward.
So, to prove she wasn’t pregnant, she started jumping in the hotel lobby!
Jumping three feet high, like playing on a trampoline!
Carlotta Sterling was dumbfounded!
"Sister Sterling! Have you ever seen a pregnant woman jump like this?" She asked while jumping.
"Stop, stop, stop! Janelle Mills, enough!" It was so awkward! In front of everyone here!
Carlotta Sterling saw her daughter couldn’t stop, rushed over and held her shoulder, "Enough! You get upstairs right now!"
