Thinking that Ian Shelby had an interest in her, President Kingston couldn’t sit still. He hung up the phone and left the office imdiately without even saying goodbye to Finn Morgan!
After going downstairs, he got into the Lamborghini, "Old Chapman, take to Clearwater Bay."
The car quickly drove off.
Mary had also ntioned the agreent on the phone just now, aning that Ian Shelby would be spending day and night with her for these ten days?
Justin Kingston felt as if his treasure was being violated!
He might not even realize it himself, but he was jealous.
The car soon arrived at Clearwater Bay and stopped in the yard.
At this mont, the children rushed out from the living room—
"Daddy!!"
"Daddy’s here! It’s Daddy’s car!"
The children were extrely excited, each running as fast as they could!
After Justin Kingston got out of the car, he crouched down and spread his strong arms, embracing the children, "I’ve missed you so much. Were you well-behaved at Grandma’s?" Then he picked up the two kids and strode toward the living room.
"We were, Grandma said we were very good!"
"Daddy, are you not working today?"
"Daddy is working today. Didn’t I miss you? So I ca by." He said gently.
Upon entering the living room, just as he finished speaking, Kristina Kingston ca out of the living room. Seeing her son in broad daylight was indeed a bit surprising, "What brings you here?"
"Mom." Justin Kingston put the children down and affectionately patted their little heads, "Go play now, I want to have a chat with Grandma."
"Okay, Daddy."
"Goodbye, Grandma!"
The children were very well-behaved, holding hands and running off.
"Hello, Mr. Kingston." The housekeeper brought tea over, knowing he couldn’t have snacks.
Mother and son sat down on the sofa.
"What is so important that you would leave work to co find in broad daylight?" Kristina Kingston picked up the tea and glanced at him lightly.
Justin Kingston’s expression was gentle, "I’m glad to see you’re willing to undergo treatnt again."
"Did Ian Shelby convey the ssage to you?" Her tone was strange.
"What ssage?"
Mother and son locked eyes, Kristina Kingston’s gaze serious, "He said you wish for to be healthy and happy, but whether I’m healthy or not doesn’t matter, since more than half of life has passed by in the blink of an eye. But to make happy is very simple."
She deliberately paused again, leisurely sipped her tea.
Justin Kingston was utterly confused, what health? What happiness? What ssage did Ian Shelby convey?
After a mont, she continued, "Would you do anything to make happy?"
Justin Kingston remained calm and honest, "That would depend on what it is. I’m not blindly filial; I won’t act against my conscience. If it only makes you happy, but not , I don’t think I would do it."
Upon hearing this, Kristina Kingston couldn’t feel happy, her heart felt blocked.
The living room was silent for a few seconds before Justin Kingston stood up, his voice still gentle, "I heard that Dr. Shelby and Dr. Yates are staying here, and their urgency in researching dicine is truly moving, so I’ll go upstairs to thank them."
Kristina Kingston raised her eyes to look at him, "I’m grateful you didn’t bring Mia Lane over to be an eyesore today."
The man chuckled; he was genuinely curious, how did Mia Lane disguise herself?
She’s clearly staying here, yet she’s said not to be an eyesore.
The kids are here too; could it be they didn’t recognize her? Or were... they recruited into her camp?
After going upstairs, Justin Kingston stood still at the door of a room that was open wide.
