In no ti, a Maybach stopped not far away. Trevor didn’t hurry to get out of the car because he imdiately saw the father and daughter.
They were talking by the car, smiles on their faces, and the scene was very warm.
After a while, Trevor saw Nathan Mills get in the car. The girl waved to him, and after the car drove away, Trevor unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the car door.
And Janelle happened to see him too, her smile changed to one that was gentle and shy.
Tall and slender, Trevor took strides toward her, their gazes eting. The girl felt a sudden excitent and a bit of nervousness in her heart. She pressed her lips together, still smiling brightly.
"Did Uncle Mills need you for sothing?" Trevor asked, stopping in front of her, worried she turned down her father to see him.
The girl shook her head, "No, he ca to see my mom."
Trevor was clearly taken aback. He was aware of her family situation; her parents had long been divorced, so Mr. Mills seeing Mrs. Mills...
"It’s okay, he’s already found her." The girl worried he might overthink, her lips curved up, "Should we go to the hospital now?"
"Mm." Trevor looked at her, then turned and walked toward his car.
Janelle followed, and he opened the car door for her like a gentleman, helping her into the passenger seat.
When Janelle fastened her seatbelt, Trevor returned to the driver’s seat.
The early winter morning was a bit cold, the breeze slightly chilly. As the car started, the windows rolled up, and the heater was turned on inside.
Janelle was touched by his small gesture and couldn’t help but glance at him.
At that mont, Trevor also glanced back, his eyes locking on her delicate face, a hidden smile flashing briefly in his deep eyes.
Janelle awkwardly withdrew her gaze, thinking she shouldn’t be so lovestruck!
Just then, her stomach let out a growl.
The car was very quiet, so the sound was particularly noticeable, reaching Trevor’s ears abruptly.
He was slightly taken aback, confirming it ca from her stomach.
He pulled the car over to the side and turned to ask, "Did you skip breakfast?"
"..." The girl was slightly embarrassed, and at that mont, her stomach growled again uncontrollably.
So embarrassing!
"I... I just got up." She said, feeling shy.
The corner of the man’s lips lifted slightly, his expression gentle, "Let’s go, I’ll take you to get breakfast. I know a great breakfast place nearby."
As he finished speaking, the car started up again.
Janelle pressed her lips together, still saying nothing. She indeed hadn’t had breakfast and didn’t want to suffer from hunger.
After all, the morning is quite long.
About five minutes later, the car stopped in front of a breakfast shop. Janelle followed Trevor out of the car. The shop wasn’t big but looked clean and tidy.
It was past the rush hour, so there weren’t many custors.
"The noodles here are really good," Trevor introduced her.
The girl didn’t have many demands, casually ordered a bowl of noodles, and then asked him, "What about you?"
"I’ve eaten," he replied.
So, is he going to watch her eat? Wouldn’t that be... embarrassing?
But she didn’t know what else to say.
Soon, a bowl of fragrant beef noodles was ready. Trevor accompanied her to sit at a wooden table and thoughtfully poured her a cup of warm water.
"Thank you." Janelle looked up at him with a slight smile, feeling a bit reserved.
Trevor didn’t speak, his gentle gaze unwaveringly fixed on her face, feeling an inexplicable sense of being settled in her presence.
Janelle’s heart raced, feeling utterly embarrassed!
In front of soone you like, you’d always pay attention to your image, but eating... if you’re not careful, your eating manner could be quite ungraceful.
