After Carlotta Sterling got out of the car, she looked around. The environnt here was serene, the location was excellent, and the villas were quite valuable. Nathan Mills must have accumulated a lot of wealth over these years, and his life should be going very well.

Initially, she felt sowhat relieved, but thinking of that woman, her sense of relief diminished a little.

That woman certainly didn’t suffer while being with him.

Carlotta glanced at his back, inexplicably feeling a bit lost. She followed him silently, not even knowing why she ca.

Nathan Mills pressed his fingerprint on the door handle, "Welco ho." A pleasant electronic female voice spoke as the door opened.

He carried the suitcase inside, "The password is Janelle’s birthday, or you can input your fingerprint." He feared she might be unwilling, so he let her choose either option.

However, this detail triggered Carlotta’s sensitivity, "Is this house for her?" Her tone was full of opposition.

"No, no, don’t get so worked up!" The man denied, putting down the suitcase and glancing back. "She was raised by you and has the sa personality as you. How could she possibly accept anything from ?"

Carlotta fell silent, feeling a bit embarrassed by his words.

The man continued, "I actually thought about giving it to her, but considering your feelings, she ultimately refused."

"..." Carlotta’s mood was also indescribable.

Nathan Mills turned around, almost swearing, "She’s never even been here. Alright, take a rest now. I’ll go pick her up."

After speaking, he stepped out.

Carlotta moved aside, not stopping him, because they couldn’t stay in the hotel anymore, and she and her daughter couldn’t sleep on the streets.

Hearing the car engine, she watched as the car drove away after a while.

With a calm mindset, Carlotta slowly took in the surroundings. The decoration here was simple and elegant, pleasing to the eye.

She grabbed the handle of the suitcase and headed toward the stairs.

The wooden spiral staircase was exquisite and spotless, and the railing’s texture was excellent, as if soone lived there regularly.

But according to him, this place had always been empty.

Did he have soone clean it beforehand? If so, today’s occurrence was preditated.

Carlotta didn’t think much more and took the suitcase upstairs.

All the bedroom doors were open, the windows too, allowing for excellent ventilation and lighting.

But what truly stirred her thoughts was the decor inside, which felt inexplicably familiar.

The tones were light, a style she liked, but definitely not Nathan Mills’ preference.

In their younger years, they often quarreled over house decorations.

So Carlotta felt an illusion that this small villa was decorated according to her youthful preferences. Was it unintentional, or did Nathan Mills do it on purpose?

How could he pay attention to such details? He was already a married man.

Thinking that he was married, she inexplicably felt sad again.

Standing in the room devoid of any holy atmosphere, she sighed lightly. Indeed, many years had passed in a flash, and winter was fast approaching again.

At this mont, Janelle Mills had already gotten out of the taxi. She stood alone at the entrance of the villa complex, gazing at the winding, clean asphalt road.

And in this tranquil environnt before her, there was no smile or distress on her face. A breeze blew past, and she squinted her eyes, lost in thoughts unknown.

The taxi had already driven away.

She walked alone on the asphalt road, suddenly hearing the sound of a car approaching. Looking up, she saw it was her father’s car turning out from the corner. She stopped in her tracks.

Nathan Mills stopped the car at his daughter’s feet, "Janelle, get in." He poked his head out.

The girl opened the front passenger door herself and, while getting in, exclaid, "Dad, did Mom really co with you?" If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would still find it unbelievable.

Nathan Mills’ lips curved upward, as he started the car and glanced at his daughter, "How about it? Your dad’s efficiency, does it score full marks?"
