The asphalt road leading to the villas is wide and winding, flanked by lush, exotic trees, so of which bloom with white flowers.
The environnt here is elegant, and the streetlights gradually light up on both sides, emitting the warst glow.
It’s not like we’re actually going to the hospital to get a package, so the car slows down after traveling a short distance and pulls over.
The girl in the passenger seat turns her gaze, and to her surprise, she discovers a quaint cake shop hidden behind a dense, tall tree on the right.
A low house with a unique design, surrounded by circles of twinkling lights—romantic and beautiful.
Through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, even from the car, one can see the interior décor and the cakes in the bright display window.
"There’s a cake shop here? I just found out!" she says curiously, tilting her head to read the store’s na, "Seven-Colored Wheat Wave?"
Trevor turns his gaze, his eyes landing on her profile. The car’s dim lighting casts a gentle glow, and from his angle, he can see Janelle Mills radiating a unique serenity.
Normally, she’s not a quiet girl, nor does she have such a gentle side. She’s straightforward and bold.
"Co on, let’s get out and take a look," Trevor says, unbuckling his seatbelt and opening the car door, "Let’s give your parents a bit more ti."
Seeing him get out, she quickly gets out of the car too.
"What kind of cake do you want to eat? It’s my treat," he strides forward.
The girl glances at him, hastily follows him, and in a few steps is by his side, "Anything is fine, let’s see what they have first. The décor is quite romantic."
The cake shop is beautiful too, with the sign at the entrance displaying the words ’Seven-Colored Wheat Wave’ in elegant font, glowing warmly.
"Welco to Seven-Colored Wheat Wave~" The server’s voice is sweet, "Please co in, have a look at what you need. Today is our shop’s seventh anniversary, couples receive a fifty percent discount and a free sunflower."
As she finishes speaking, another pretty server cos over holding a sunflower, directly handing it to Janelle Mills and says with a sweet smile, "Miss, this is for you, wishing you both lifelong happiness." She can’t help but steal a glance at the man beside her, he’s so handso!
Janelle Mills feels a bit awkward, it’s awkward to take it, and awkward not to take it, they’re not a couple at all.
But Trevor’s expression is relaxed, the corners of his lips gentle, as he reaches out to take the sunflower and hands it to the girl beside him.
Surprised, Janelle Mills turns her gaze to him right then, and her eyes fall on the sunflower, "Thank you." She quickly reaches out to take it, and in that mont, a wondrous feeling blossoms in her heart, like the beauty of first love.
"Over here is our new product area, let know if you find anything you like," says the elegantly poised server holding a tray and tongs, standing by to assist them.
Already considering them a couple, admiring eyes fall on them, bringing faint joy, such a good-looking pair, truly a match made in heaven.
"What do you like to eat?" Trevor asks gently, "You can also take one for your mom." He ans he’s willing to buy for her, choose freely, don’t feel embarrassed.
In the warm yellow-lit window, Janelle Mills imdiately spots a cute little bear cake, "This one will do."
"Sure, let get that for you." The server pushes open the clean glass door.
"Is there only one of this bear style cake?" Given Janelle Mills’s experience, she thinks it must be delicious, the cream is smooth but not greasy, yet it’s too small, Trevor should taste it too.
The server explains, "Yes, Miss, this is one of our store’s newly launched couple’s styles, ant to be shared by two people. Each style is unique; when one person eats, it’s sweet, but when two people share, it’s sweeter, you can try it if you don’t believe."
"..." Suddenly, her cheeks flush!
Janelle Mills’s body seems stiff, not daring to glance at the man beside her, the situation is so awkward, to buy or not to buy?
She says, "I don’t want this."
"Then let’s get this," he says.
Janelle Mills and Trevor speak at the sa ti, leaving the server puzzled, her extended cake tongs stopping in mid-air. Two seconds later, she laughs and asks, "So, to take it or not to take it?"
