Kristina Kingston looked up at her.

Thinking about her feelings for him over the years, Monica Usher’s lips curled into a smile, but a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes. "He never saw . I’m afraid I’ll grow old without ever being with the person I love, so I wanted to use a child to tie him down. If I were pregnant, there would be a bit more hope."

As she looked up, Kristina Kingston saw the mottled traces of tears on her face.

Monica Usher watched as Auntie got up and left. She sat on the ground crying, her heart aching as if torn apart.
Mary turned and followed the lady toward the living room.
Monica Usher drove away from Clearwater Bay, her mind close to exploding.
The images before her eyes started to overlap, she tightly gripped the steering wheel, pressed the brake pedal, and calmly parked the car by the side of the road.
She only felt a wave of grievance, nobody understood her love for Justin Kingston.
With tear-blurred eyes, she looked out the window; if Auntie sentenced her to death, what would she do? A sense of helplessness enveloped her.
