The apartnt was very quiet.
Monica Usher stood by the bed, glancing out the window, it was already evening.
The clouds in the sky were tinged red by the sunset.
She walked out of the bedroom and into the living room, catching a faint scent of ginger, sounds emanating from the kitchen.
Filled with curiosity, she walked toward the kitchen, looking around as she went, it almost felt like a different space, everything was clean and tidy, even the coats had been washed.
The floor glead like glass.
The entire room had been thoroughly cleaned.
"You’re awake?" Barbara Sutton ca out holding a bowl of ginger tea, cheerfully saying, "It has so hangover tea in it, and a bit of honey, drink it while it’s hot!"
"..." It felt like a dream to Monica Usher, "Why are you still here?"
"I couldn’t leave you alone." She gently placed the bowl on the dining table.
"How long have you been busy?" She looked around, "All the dirty clothes are washed." The whole ho was neat and tidy.
"Not too long, why are you just standing there? Sit down!" Barbara Sutton urged her, "Drink this while it’s hot, I was just about to wake you up."
Monica Usher glanced around again, her heart full of gratitude, "Barbara, thank you for your hard work." She swept her hair back and sat down in the dining chair.
At that mont, the doorbell rang, and Barbara Sutton quickly went to answer it.
"Miss, these are the flowers you ordered." The person outside said.
"Thank you!" She reached out to take them and closed the door.
Monica Usher drank her hangover tea, recalling when Justin Kingston and Mia Lane visited, her mood turned somber.
It was the first ti she had spoken so harshly to Justin Kingston, the first ti she asked him to leave.
