"President Usher, you’re still so young. Are you planning to not work for the rest of your life?" soone asked boldly with curiosity.
Monica Usher took a sip of coffee with a faint look and thought, Why does my working matter to you? Do I eat from your family’s rice supply?
"President Usher..."
"I think I’ve made myself very clear." Monica Usher interrupted calmly, "Did you not understand?"
"It’s not that I didn’t understand." Another person chuckled and joined in, "It’s just we really hope you’d join our company and don’t want to miss this opportunity."
"If you have ti, I don’t mind listening to you talk." She looked very aloof, "But my decision won’t change, I’m not going to your company."
"President Usher, has another company gotten ahead of us?" The person suddenly felt uneasy.
She parted her lips lightly, "No."
"Then... have you found a preferred next employer?"
"Also no." She answered without any hesitation.
The other party collectively breathed a sigh of relief, and their expressions relaxed significantly. So there was still hope!
Using the coffee break, soone tried to ask again, "President Usher, then how long do you plan to rest? When do you plan to join a new company again? Next year? The year after? Or what position are you envisioning?"
"President Usher, do you still have the opportunity to return to Kingston Group?" Soone dared to ask again, was this the reason that led to her constant refusals?
The question pierced Monica Usher’s heart like a thorn without any defense, causing a slight pain in her chest.

"President Usher, please consider carefully, we really hope you would co."
Monica Usher calmly drank her coffee. She had already said what needed to be said, and had said it very clearly. She planned to leave once she finished her coffee.
"I don’t need the business card." Monica Usher did not reach out to take it, she said, "I’m too lazy to keep it."
Only she knew, perhaps she still had a lingering attachnt to Justin Kingston and The Kingston Group.
After all, the vice president position at Kingston Group was vacant, she might still have a chance.
Having finished her coffee, Monica Usher got up to pay the bill and then walked out without anyone tactless enough to try to stop her.
Kristina Kingston returned to Clearwater Bay, feeling gloomy and seething with anger on the way.
Upon entering the living room, she was startled by the children—
"Happy birthday, Grandma!" Two adorable children jumped and clapped on the sofa.
A beautiful cake was placed on the coffee table, candles inserted on top, surrounded by so balloons, decorated in a very playful way.

Kristina Kingston was montarily stunned.
The butler smiled and reminded her, "Madam, today is your birthday, did you forget?"
The butler added, "I told the kids you don’t usually celebrate birthdays, but they insisted on making you a cake. All of this was arranged by Gigi and Dolly themselves."
The kids started singing the birthday song, combining Chinese and English, full of ceremony.
Kristina Kingston belatedly rembered that today was her birthday.
In the past, with disfigurent always masked, she would avoid guests and didn’t want to see outsiders.
So she never held any birthday parties, didn’t even want to ntion this day.
On past birthdays, sotis she felt so bad she wouldn’t even et her son.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Grandma..."
The pure and innocent voices of the children filled the air, and that wish for Grandma struck the softest chord deep within Kristina Kingston’s heart.
