"Mom." He looked at the person in the photo and softly began, "Kristina Kingston apologized to , and I wanted to tell you."
Silence, a long silence.
The mountain breeze tousled his hair.
"Mom, I plan to reconcile with her, I hope you can understand." Anton Miller said after much contemplation, "Recently, going through life and death with Justin Kingston made us see life differently."
"We shouldn’t bear the grievances of the past generation for a lifeti; we are powerless to change it."
His lips curled into a slight smile, "Letting go might be the best outco."
"Mom, your son hasn’t felt lonely lately." Anton Miller thought of the kids bouncing around in front of him, and his smile deepened, "It’s really nice to have family."
After expressing his heartfelt words before the tombstone, he stayed for a while, then turned to leave.
He never stayed long, but he would co often, roughly four tis a month.
The sa morning.
In a slightly luxurious apartnt, Hailey Hale, wearing a white shirt and with disheveled hair, ca to the living room beside the sofa. She no longer had a fever and felt in good spirits.
Looking at the man sitting on the sofa, his arms were crossed, and his high nose bridge was prominent, eyes closed, not knowing if he was asleep.
Could he have sat there all night?
Hailey Hale noticed that the other spots on the sofa had no wrinkles, indicating he hadn’t lain down.
Just as she was in shock and doubt, Finn Morgan opened his eyes, "Ah—!" He was startled by her appearance!
Awakened to clarity instantly after the shock!
His shout also startled Hailey Hale!
She widened her eyes and looked at him, "What are you doing?"
The female ghost in TV dramas probably looked like this, with disheveled hair and a white shirt, silent.
"Go look in the mirror!" Finn Morgan’s face was calm, yet still recovering from the fright.
Hailey Hale stood before him and asked in surprise, "Did you really sit here all night?"
"What else did you think?" He glanced up at her, "I get back pain lying down."
"You’re young; how can you have back pain?" She held her growling stomach and asked sympathetically, "I want to eat noodles, would you mind cooking?"
Last night, they bought noodles and cilantro; Finn Morgan intended to make breakfast for her.
"You can stay here." He stood up and said expressionlessly, "No rummaging through my things, everything used must be put back, and make sure to clean up every strand of hair on the floor."
Hair strands?
Hailey Hale cast her eyes down and indeed saw strands of hair on the floor.
Without waiting for her to speak, Finn Morgan entered the kitchen.
She turned around, found so clear tape, crouched down, and started sticking the hair strands. Living under soone else’s roof, she had to follow the host’s requirents.
In no ti, she stuck seven or eight strands of hair on the tape, still bent over and searching.
A bowl of fragrant noodles was placed on the dining table; she looked up at him taking off the apron and asked in surprise, "Only one bowl? Aren’t you eating?"
"I have to go out; I’m running late." Finn Morgan calmly washed his hands, took a waistcoat from the bedroom, and headed to the door to change his shoes.
"What about my fingerprint?" She hurried after him, "I can’t stay in all day, can I? Does this high-tech lock have a key?"
Finn Morgan changed his shoes, turned his eyes to look at her.
She looked at him pitifully, face thick as she stared, "..."
Finn Morgan had no choice but to input the managent password and add her fingerprint, all while listening to her say, "Don’t worry, I will pay you rent; I won’t freeload."
Finn Morgan looked up, and she quickly anded, "I won’t live here for free! For free!" She smiled apologetically.
"Fingerprint entry successful." The system prompt ca, and Finn Morgan stepped out.
