Mia Lane looked up at the sound, "..." She smiled, "What’s up?"
"I’m heading out first. Are you working late today?" Hailey asked quietly, with a grin.
She raised the corners of her mouth slightly, "Yes, I’m working late. No ti like the present."
"Then I’ll go first, bye-bye!" With that, Hailey waved to her.
"Go on."
Watching her turn and walk towards the door, Mia felt a bit envious. She really is carefree at that age, so blissfully unconcerned.
At her age, I was already pregnant with Gigi and Dolly.
Barbara Sutton sat in her office chair, she too wanted to leave, but didn’t have the courage to say so.
After all, today was President Lane’s first day, that surely deserved a good impression?
Mia Lane cast a look at her, fairly distributing duties, "Barbara, you can clock off too."
The girl looked up abruptly, "..." She t President Lane’s gaze in disbelief.
Mia had a smile on her lips, her eyes warm, "Go on, you haven’t left work early in a while, have you?"
"Thank you, President Lane." Barbara was very moved inside, she actually knew it had been a long ti since she had left work early.
Tomorrow night, she was attending a charity dinner. She needed to buy a new dress. Even though she couldn’t afford expensive dresses, getting a beautiful new gown was essential.
Barbara tidied her desk, feeling like she was finally getting sowhere.
Inside the CEO’s office.
Hailey Hale stood in front of Finn Morgan’s desk, reaching out to close his laptop, "Ready to go?"
"Where to?" Finn looked up, calmly eting her gaze, he was about to leave anyway, having just clicked to shut down his computer.
"Accompany shopping for clothes," she said, "I’ll pay, and you can lend your taste. After all, since I’m staying at your place recently, dressing nicely would make you feel better."
Her words happened to fall within Justin Kingston’s hearing. Standing by the window with his hands behind his back, he turned at the sound, a hint of shock flashing through his deep-set eyes.
Hailey Hale staying at Finn Morgan’s place?
"CEO Kingston, I’m heading out," Finn said, noticing Justin was looking at him with an unusual expression.
"Hmm."
Finn intended to explain but didn’t get the chance before the CEO nodded his approval.
"Co on, let’s go! Quit dawdling!" Hailey urged, pulling at his arm.
The two of them turned to leave...
Justin was startled. Are they together?
When did they get together?
In the hallway, as they pressed the elevator button, waiting for it, Barbara happened to step out of the deputy CEO’s office.
She couldn’t help but pause, watching their backs hesitate for a mont, but then continued forward.
"Good evening, Special Assistant Morgan," Barbara greeted him as she got close to Finn, but her heart couldn’t stop racing.
Finn turned his gaze to her, "You’re off work too?"
"Yes." She nodded, unable to et his eyes for long.
Ding, the elevator doors opened.
Finn politely stepped aside, and Hailey didn’t rush in either. Standing beside them, Barbara felt unexplainably awkward.
"Co on, what are you standing there for?" Hailey said, stepping in first.
Finn looked at Barbara, "Co on."
Barbara nodded before stepping in, with Finn being the last to enter.
Hailey pressed the close door button, taking a step back to leisurely lean against the wall, playing on her phone as she asked, "Where to buy clothes?"
Barbara suddenly turned, overwheld with embarrassnt!
But found that Hailey wasn’t actually looking at her. However...how did she know I was going to buy clothes?
