The scene instantly fell silent, all eyes focused on his back.
Jordan Jennings was the first to react, calling out, "Boss, what ga are you playing now? We’re drinking!"
"Yeah, boss! Can’t you play the ga later? Why do it now?"
He didn’t answer, and his figure disappeared at the doorway.
The team mbers were puzzled, a hint of desolation flashed in Sean Dalton’s eyes, only she knew why; Anton Miller still disliked her.
"Grace, don’t take it to heart. Our boss is just eccentric, you should know that."
"We’re entertaining you just the sa, co, have a drink."
With a smile on her lips, Sean Dalton’s mood was sowhat sour. She took the glass, tilted her head, and drained the drink in one go.
Because Anton Miller had left, Sean Dalton didn’t stay long. She set down the glass, stood up, bade farewell to the team mbers, and then left with a smile.
Who knew how disappointed she was?
On the drive ho, Sean Dalton felt strange. Why did he still dislike her when she did nothing?
Next morning.
Anton Miller woke up very early, and while the team was still asleep, he quietly went downstairs.
"Mr. Ford..." Ms. Tancred was slightly startled, "Why are you up so early?" The main hall downstairs was still unlit.
It was also then that Anton Ford noticed Ms. Tancred, and he stopped, "Good morning."
"Are you going out?" she noticed he had a coat draped on his arm, and it was chilly outside.
"Yes, going out."
He didn’t say where he was going, and she didn’t ask.
After a pause, Anton Ford resud his steps outwards, but Ms. Tancred still asked, "Will you be back for breakfast?"
He thought for a mont, "Yes."
"Okay." Ms. Tancred felt relieved; food outside wasn’t sanitary and not good for his health.
Mr. Kingston had sent her to take care of Mr. Ford, so she had to ensure he was healthy.
As Anton Miller stepped outside the club’s doors, a gust of cool wind hit him, and he slipped on his coat.
He opened the door of the black Volvo and sat in the driver’s seat.
A mont later, the car headed towards the cetery.
In just over ten minutes, he arrived; it was serene and beautiful here, with long vines, upright pines, lush grasses, morning fog swirling, insects chirping, and birds singing...
Each tombstone etched with the sorrows of ti.
Stepping out, Anton Ford walked along the stone path, dew dampening his black leather shoes, the air filled with the sweet scent of earth.
He stopped in front of his mother’s tombstone, gazing fondly at the photo on it and gently touching it.
"Mom, I’ve been doing well lately." His voice was soft, his expression relaxed, "Justin Kingston previously took my club, and I had to disband my team. Now he’s helped build a new one, bigger in scale, better equipped, and the team that was disbanded has returned, still carrying their original passion and dreams..."
Anton Ford felt it was all like a dream and felt very blessed.
"Actually, he was quite kind to before, but I never appreciated it." He chuckled, sighing lightly, "Now, having gone through so much, I know life is like a movie screening. I don’t want to miss out on what I did in the first half of my life in the second half."
Having a dream to pursue, such peaceful days were satisfying to the current Anton Ford.
Like last ti, he didn’t linger at the cetery for too long.
He often ca here to report on his life to his mom and have a chat but would always leave after speaking, as she was always in his heart.
