A soft call from Finn Morgan startled her!
She abruptly raised her gaze to et his eyes, feeling her heart skip a beat.
"Special Assistant Morgan." She quickly stood up, snapped out of it, and saluted.
Regarding her lapse in attention, Finn Morgan didn’t say anything because it was his first encounter with this. She had always worked diligently before.
"I’ll co by later to pick up this report; verify it for first. I have a eting to attend."
"Alright." She took it with both hands.
Then Finn glanced at the nearby empty seat and asked her, "Where is Hailey Hale?"
"..." Barbara was a bit dazed, "I... I don’t know." She hadn’t really noticed.
So, she didn’t know when Hailey left either?
"During work hours, you need to stay focused." Finn kindly reminded, "Leave work early and rest at ho today; no need to work overti." He said as he walked out.
Hailey Hale happened to enter the room and collided with him at the door!

Hailey sighed lightly, shook her head, "How much is conscience worth?" She walked into the Deputy General Manager’s office.
After a while, Barbara Sutton got up with her phone and left.
She couldn’t bear it anymore and went alone to the usually deserted terrace.
It was dark with greenery here. She cautiously scanned her surroundings, everything silent, no one would co.
Holding her breath, she dialed Monica Usher’s number.
At that mont, the troubled Monica Usher was by the stream listening to the water flow. The sudden ringing of her phone interrupted her thoughts. She glanced at the caller ID, and the na ’Barbara Sutton’ made her pause slightly.
After a mont, she answered, "...", and pressed the phone to her ear without speaking.
"Monica," Barbara’s restrained voice had a tone of inquiry, "Did you also go to Aethel Falls? Why?"
