Mrs. Han hesitated to answer, "It’s so late, why is CEO Kingston calling ?" She was quite puzzled and asked cautiously, "If he wanted to call, he should have called you instead."
The Mayor urged her, "Just answer it quickly, there must be sothing important."
Mrs. Han’s finger slid over the answer button, but before she could speak, a deep magnetic voice ca from the other end, "Hello, Mayor’s wife, I’m Justin Kingston."
"Hello, CEO Kingston, I know it’s you." The woman smiled with a touch of flattery in her tone, "Calling at this hour, is sothing the matter?"
"Your daughter has been staying at our ho recently." Justin Kingston’s tone was calm, "She’s interning at the Kingston Group as my wife’s assistant and is also good friends with her. Are you aware of this?"
"Yes, yes, thank you for your care."
"So they co back to my place together after work, anyway, the house at Erald Cove is spacious."
Mrs. Han glanced at the middle-aged man beside her, and then expressed her gratitude to CEO Kingston.
After a brief chat, the call ended.
Thus, they put their worries to rest.
As long as their daughter was safe, it didn’t matter where she stayed.
"Let’s go to bed early," Mrs. Han said, "Tomorrow morning we’ll visit Erald Cove to see her and thank CEO Kingston and Mrs. Kingston in person."
"Okay."
Early the next morning.
Barbara Sutton, who hadn’t slept well all night, grabbed her bag and left her rental apartnt. It was a five-minute walk to the bus stop.
A short distance away, three girls happened to leave at the sa ti.
Although they didn’t know each other, Barbara had seen them many tis; they lived in the neighboring apartnt building.
"Roro, don’t forget us when you co into money," one of the girls said, holding onto the arm of another girl, "Really not keeping any of this stuff at ho? You’re not coming back tonight?"
"No, you can use it all." The girl’s voice was sweet and gentle, and her outfit differed from the other two, looking more fashionable.
Barbara rembered she didn’t used to be like this.
In the distance, a rcedes stopped, and the girl called Roro waved to them, "Girls, I’m leaving now, my boyfriend’s here to pick up!"
"Okay, stay in touch."
They waved goodbye, without hug, it didn’t seem like a farewell.
Barbara watched as the girl walked quickly in heels towards the rcedes, a young man stepped out of the car to open the passenger door for her and helped her into the vehicle.
The man returned to the driver’s seat, and the rcedes quickly drove off.
The remaining two girls sighed and made their way to the bus stop, with Barbara following behind them.
"I tell you, we can’t learn Roro’s tricks," the girl said with disappointnt, shaking her head, "she’s taken courses specifically to learn how to act cute."
"But you need money to pay for those courses, I’ve heard they cost hundreds of dollars per session."
"She made a fortune following that divorced old miser, dressed herself up with watches and bags, and then turned around and fell into the arms of a young guy. This is the routine many girls are using nowadays."
"She also had a breast augntation, which is why this rich second-generation guy noticed her, right? Her body has always been her confidence, she can admire herself in the mirror for a long ti after a shower, n have needs in these aspects."
"I tell you, girls from ordinary families either have to accept their fate or rely on their fathers." Soone concluded, "Living a stable life, you can only marry soone stable."
"Yeah, having a child, paying off the mortgage, car loan, buying milk powder and diapers can almost kill you. Marry well, and casually going out for hot pot could cost tens of thousands, and you’d have several maids at ho."

Barbara got on the bus, found a seat, and continued to listen to their conversation, feeling a mix of emotions.
