Listening to the busy tone on the other end of the phone, Hailey Hale sighed lightly, sorted out the docunts in her hand, and said, "President Lane, I need to go out for a while, probably about ten minutes."
"Go ahead." Mia Lane responded promptly without asking for a reason. Her fair and beautiful fingers tapped on the keyboard as she worked on a report.
Barbara Sutton watched as Hailey Hale got up and left.
Soon, Finn Morgan ca by to deliver so docunts, and Barbara deliberately glanced at him a few tis.
He was strikingly handso, tall, and slender, with a face that was as chiseled and attractive as ever.
And he seed to be in a good mood today.
But Finn Morgan didn’t look at Barbara, nor did he even notice her presence. There was no eye contact between them.
After finishing his work with Mia Lane, he noticed the empty desk nearby, "President Lane, where’s Hailey?"
"Do you need sothing from her?" Mia asked.
Finn replied gently, "I made an appointnt with a client today. So docunts need to be settled in person, so I planned to take her with . I thought she’d be here, so I didn’t give her a heads-up."
Upon hearing this, Barbara felt a surge of urgency and stood up, raising her hand, volunteering enthusiastically, "Special Assistant Morgan, she went out. I’ll go with you!!"
Only then did Finn turn his eyes to look at her, "..."
"That’s fine." Mia didn’t think too much about it, "I don’t have anything urgent for her here." Since she didn’t try to guess Finn’s thoughts.
After two seconds, Finn nodded, "Ok, then get ready, we’ll head out imdiately."
"Great!" Barbara was particularly delighted.
After Finn left, he headed to the president’s office.
Mia observed Barbara’s cheerful expression and couldn’t help but speculate internally, does she like Finn?

The walls were as bright as a mirror, reflecting the images of Barbara and Finn, standing not too close nor too far apart.

"Quite good." Finn withdrew his gaze, analyzing from a more professional perspective, "I specialize in aesthetics, and actually, your height suits this style, so wearing this to et the client today was the right choice. I believe they will also appreciate this outfit."
So what he ant was, he appreciated it, right?? He actually used the word ’also’.
Barbara was particularly pleased and decided to only buy this type of clothes in the future. Anyway, she had money in her account!
As long as the guy she likes feels comfortable looking at her, that’s enough!
"Special Assistant Morgan, are we going to a club? Or driving sowhere far away?" Barbara hoped to go on a business trip with him for a few days!
Sitting in the front passenger seat of his car would be an honor as well.
Ding, the elevator stopped.
Finn walked out of the elevator as he said, "Not far, just to the café across the street. We can walk over."
